He is more effective than the ironically named Leon Best. Had he been availble during our March Mayhem perhaps we might still be in contention for an auto place.

Fair point Spart - he may not be prolifoc but he can hold the ball up and does work hard up top. Plus, when he has scored, its generally been important goals.

Bent's skill is anticipatig where the ball will be in the box. As no one knows where the ball might be when Conor controls it, this could be a secret weapon. Sammon and Bent up front, definitely 3 goals a game for Bent.

When did you see him hold the ball up Peeder? He knocks centre backs about a bit and is good at putting pressure on the back line and yes would have been useful in March.

If he does have a part to play then he'll have my full support.

Welcome back Connor, just need to get Doyle back now as well and we have got this.

The only months Connor Sammon would be useful in is in June & July.

Are you all honestly advocating a player not good enough for Ipswich and too sh/te for Rotherham has a role to play at Derby.

Of course!

So imagine the chat at the meal table this week:

DB: Hi I'm Darren, are you new?
CS: Hi I'm Connor, no I was out on loan.
DB: What position do you play?
CS: Striker:
DB: Wow, me too, I'd better watch myself, I've only got 12 goals in 15 games and missed a sitter on Tuesday, how are you doing?
CS: Could you pass the salt please

I'll be happy if the fish scores the winner at Wembley and very very surprised, in fact astonished and bewildered.

So 666's favourite player is back at the Ipro! I bet he's pleased

If he helps the team win/ secure a playoff place I'll be happy to see him back

Welcome back Connor Sammon. We still appreciate your work rate and your speed. Good luck for the future whatever it might hold for you and Derby County.
