Do we really think he's on his bike, 2W?

Sounds interesting. At least it's not just another cast-off journey-man doing the rounds.

Once again Sam Rush is doing his homework and thinking outside the box.

I do have a lot of faith in Sam, Baz

I don't think I've ever witnessed such a seamless transition of managers at a club such as when Steve replaced Nigel.

Dunno Moj, but a quality coach is what we need if/when he does.

This is the first name in the hat that hasn't made me want to electrocute my genitalia.

I bet you did it anyway 2W

It's been a done deal since the end of Feb, why do you think Derby have been playing so bad, Stevie as lost the dressing room.

posted on 21/4/15

Hard to give the team talk if you can't find the dreasing room alright.

I was only seeing if they worked for excitement as well as pain Iwas

And....?

Ref boy kev, you read too much tabloid reporting. I can assure you no one has mislaid the dressing room. With them having deep foundations it is very hard unless you mean he can't find the dressing room which again I find hard to believe.

Another football fan myth to go with 6 pointers, managers playing mind games and teams bottling it.

It is has not as by the way. What have people got against the verb to have that they want to abuse it so much.

Preferable to listening to Spart going on about grammar Igor

No it's not.

No IT IS not.

'It's' usually denotes informality or to be used in speech.

I miss TEG

tell you what.....I'm a massive McClaren fan and I doubted there is better replacement than him availble to us but if Sam Rush can get Clement to replace him I will personally drive Steve McClaren to Newcastle. Clement is without doubt probably the highest rated coach in european football at the moment.
Just out of interested Darren Bent is married to Ross Maclaren's daughter and Derby have made a very good offer to him and its being reported that Ince is done deal.

Clement in - juicy!

No you don't, and there is nothing wrong with using informality in what is an informal message board.

There is lots wrong with abusing the verb "to have". What has it done wrong that it should be treated so abysmally. Bring back flogging for those who substitute "of" or "as" for have and has. Better still the death sentence, it's an over populated world after all. Cue TEG.

Griff . You're a mate of Bucko's. Any truth in the rumour him and Steve Mc have had a bust-up? I've heard stories about cups being thrown and an assurance 'you'll never play for Derby again'!

posted on 21/4/15

no mate no truth in it. He's back training and should be fit for the Reading game. Theres been some folk making rumours up to try and cause issues within the camp. I do believe he's on his way in the summer tho' has McClaren hs given Chris Evans a list of players he wants to sign in the summer for next season. I'm hoping Paul Clement has also got a list for Chris Evans

Good news mate. Pleased for Bucko

if its true about paul clement it is a statement of intent by the americans that they wont be selling up after all.it also says heavy investment is on its way as clement will want top players

I will take the Clement link with a pinch of salt for now. He has been linked with every available Premier league job by the media in the last year and as undoubtedly talented he appears to be (can't be bad being the no.2 at Real Madrid) being the head coach/manager of a football club is a different ball game.
Saying that, I wouldn't consider it a risky appointment and the links he would have made in Europe would certainly be benificial to any club he ends up at.

Makes you wonder, with the circus going on at Newcastle, has McClaren had second thoughts?
If McClaren does stay, I would like to see more investment in the defence and a defensive coach installed because as it stands, I'm actually dreading the possibility of promotion.
