I think the ranking officer in charge of the area did the right thing in reaching out

Nah i dont know much about drug use in history like that soq

I always suspected more often than not ancient soldiers would have sneaked some alcohol in before battle. There are the classic tales of getting your enemy drunk on purpose, the Romans liked that one.

Okay, but as I saidVikings and 'shrooms and just remembered the hashashinn (as always spelling) and the doc I saw was basically a race for better "speed". And reports of strange drugs given to troops in ME modern wars.

If I was a serving Police Officer I would definitely pull Diane Abbott over.

After turning up to vote with 2 left shoes on I would want to check that her footwear was suitable for driving.

BREAKING: There are 730,000 fewer employees on payroll now compared to March according to the Office for national statistics.

And they say the full extent of unemployment won’t even be known until October when the JRS ends. Basically, it’s going to get a whole lot worse.

The number of people on zero-hours contracts has hit a record high of more than a million.

This is worrying.

Employment in the UK FELL by the largest amount in over a decade between April and June, official figures show.

EMPLOYMENT DECREASED by 220,000 on the quarter, said the Office for National Statistics.

This was the largest quarterly DECREASE since May to July 2009, during the depths of the last financial crisis.

In other words, unemployment ROSE.

Thats hyperbolic nonsense, how many of your family would you be happy to see die to avoid a lockdown?

Many who don't like the fact people dieing WITH covid get put in the national figures are completely happy to lay the blame at covids door for accelerating the demise of the high street and the creeping job loss as a result of automation.

You do understand that there is a relationship between unemployment and deaths, right?

I’ve lost two family members with Covid so by your metric; I’m allowed to have this opinion, right?

Been:

“More than 4,000 people have successfully crossed the English Channel this way so far this year.

UK and French ministers will meet later to discuss how to reduce this number.

Immigration Minister Chris Philp is travelling to Paris for talks, accompanied by the newly appointed Clandestine Channel Threat Commander Dan O'Mahoney, to demand stronger measures from the French authorities.”

Good luck with that

Lowkey @Lowkey0nline
For people from a state which previously occupied 14 million miles of the planet to describe people from their former colonies as invaders is quite something.

I mentioned a week or so ago that one of my household members was going to Spain - well he has been and returned.

He said that other than wearing a mask at the airport, all was normal.

He completed a form online about his movements and that was the length and depth of any checks. There was nothing at the airport (Edinburgh) to tell him that he had to isolate.

And worryingly I'm the only one in my household of four that thinks he should self-isolate now he's returned.

I expect that's the norm I'm afraid (as has been highlighted by the Celtic footballer who ignored the need to self-isolate on return from Spain).
