To be fair the Rangers story this year has been filled with fun results and even funnier reactions so we do owe them a debt of gratitude for cheering us up when we've had a tough time (though thats not been too often recently).
It's to their fans credit that they can take it all with a sense of humour.
Losing 3-2 to Alloa after leading 2-0 with 20 minutes to go.
Getting their first win against an Edinburgh side in March.
Dropping points in 17 of the 36 league games this season.
Dropping points against every team in the division bar Dumbarton this season.
Not having a striker who could make it into the top 10 scorers in the league.
Finishing 3rd in a one horser.
Claiming a moral victory after getting beat 2-0 in a cup semi final against Celtic without a single shot on target all game.
The Kenny McDowall era.
We've had a lot of laughs at Rangers expense this year and there might still be more to come but I get the impression that they would struggle to find a worse season than this year on the park.
*I should qualify one of those posts by saying the first win against an Edinburgh side in the league
Ooofftt! That is a lot of qualifying. Sooner they realise they've made an almighty 'James Hunt ' of it the sooner we move on. Imo.
