think contador's exploits in the giro have taken their toll in this years tour !

the TT today should be fantastic !!
It could be a lemond/fignon ...with just a few seconds separating them going into paris on the final stage

Never really liked Evans but the way he's clawed time back virtually solo over these two Alps stages has been more than admirable.

He's kept himself in contention against the odds and I think that'll work wonders for his morale.

Evans is the better time trialler, but Andy already improved last year and apparently has trained hard this winter and found a new TTing position that delivers more power.

With only 57sec in it and the riders completely spent after the last 2 days of cut-throat racing, there's no knowing which way it'll go.

Got to admire Alberto's attempt yesterday - and he'd have bagged it if Samu hadn't towed Rolland all the way back to Contador's wheel.

Been a fantastic race in all - the best TDF for many a year.

And even the French will be happy with how it's gone!

What the hell are you talking about?

Just talk about football.

How good is Aguero?

posted on 23/7/11

Not as hard-working as Tevez, but more gifted. Overall I'd rate them similarly, only El Kun has time on his side.

Gervinho > Payet!

FACT!

Let's not get carried away here Pinky. He's at least better than the headless Walcott.

So your front three next season will be:

Nasri ------ RVP ------- Gervinho

Better than last year I s'pose.

Do you think Aguero could be as effective as Tevez was for City in the 4-3-3 setup playing as the lone CF?

Dear god, that's awful. But to look on the bright side - the technique on that volley was amazing!

Spanish media claiming that Villarreal's Santi Cazorla, linked to Arsenal, is set to join Malaga.

WHEN? When was he linked to Arsenal?

Every player in the world who moves between clubs is retrospectively linked with us!

Jealous?

We loaned out Denilson so, no, i'm not jealous

Jenkinson's own goal was top notch.

We will be making one more signing at the very most. I'm not holding my breath though, as that is tiring!

If the Winehouse story is given more coverage and thought than what happened in Norway i swear i am leaving this country.

Never knew why so much fuss was made over her due to one song/album but regardless it's a sad story, but not one that should have hours of news dedicated to it.

posted on 23/7/11

To be fair I dislike her music and well have barely heard of here.

Nevertheless...

Let us hold eachother and mourn

Maybe my insensitivity is due to the fact so many people were killed in Norway through no fault of their own.

For all

posted on 23/7/11

I won't lie - I heard of here only a couple of times but it's always sad when a person dies.

Yeah the crisis in Norway is very deppresing.

I don't think the full scale of what's happened in Norway has actually registered yet. Apparently it is the worst shooting incident EVER in that no one gunman has ever killed as many people in one go.

I had to call my granny(she's norwegian) yesterday to tell her about it....my mum was in Oslo a couple of days ago.

Unfortunately the bomb looks like a tiny spark compared to what happened on that island

posted on 23/7/11

Very sad to hear that. Your gran must be very upset. Has your mother left Norway and returned to Scotland or is she still there?
