Don't be so hard on yourselves. You are about where you should be, don't let that blip of a season where you finished 2nd give you false hopes

If Studge doesn't get himself fit then next season will take a miracle signing to have any chance at top4
I think the top four of Chelsea, Arsenal, City and United is pretty much set in stone for years to come now, I can not see Pool or Spurs closing the gap any time soon.
Surprised they are letting Slipper go, he could still do a job in that squad.
ings will score 30 while milner will get 15, i wouldnt worry about it
we didn't let Gerrard go, we offered him a contract and he turned it down
there's another article on it below this one
It will depend on who we sign, a striker who scores goals would be a huge help.

Do you have sympathy with Sterling's position?

I'd agree with this, unless we were to avoid Europa, manage to keep our best players and maybe add one or 2 semi decent players. I think we could do fairly well in the league in those circumstances and certainly come closer to challenging for top 4.

I love how a lot of the Liverpool fans on here have panned Gerrards worth to the team...
Don't worry lads, we're getting Ings on a freebie - indisputable proof of the club's ambition.
Nothing is set in stone in football.
I bow to Souness' expert opinions on all matters football, but on this one, he is wrong. Yesterday, our skipper put in a shift and a half, running, challenging, tackling, legs flying in, just like the skipper of yesteryear. Best performance for quite a while. But, still too slow now. Yes. We will miss him, Jordan H, by his performance yesterday has a long way to catch up, but if we are to break into the top four we need a younger, speedier gem than we have in our skipper.
