Even if he wanted, there's no way back now. Not good to annoy the fans.
BBC rumour - Man City for £40K. Snatch their hand off for that (and take a player).

I am not too keen on the idea of signing Sterling, but at £40k i suppose is ok.

They should of thrown bottles of urine at him, in true mosh pit style (plastic bottles of course, wouldn't want to hurt him and damage his resale value)

If they're offering 40mil, we should hold out for 50mil
be all sneaky and negotiating like

£40m + one of their players. Toure would be good. Or a striker. That would be good business.
I think we should be more tribal and throw rotten tomatoes and eggs at him
I still think we should still be sneaky somehow

Sell him to Leeds
It looks as though you may be getting Milner from us for zilch, so no need to be greedy.
£25m seems reasonable for Raheem.

There's always a way back. Football fans are fickle. If he stays, starts the season in fine form and bangs the goals in all will be forgiven.
Look at the way Man Utd fans forgive Rooney's biannual threats to leave.

Oh yes because we'll just give him to you won't we. If we get Milner for 0 then has no weighting on the Sterling issue at all.
We'll get as much as we can for him (and what we can), just like every other club would.

some sort of mission impossible disguise perhaps, sell them a spray painted borini for £30m?
Mind it don't backfire and he runs down his contract, then you get sweet F/A.
Tongue in cheek, as the saying goes.

Yes but Sterling isn't going to do that. He's shown flashes - that's all. Without Suarez (and probably Sturridge), he looks what he is - a prospect that might come good.
I don't think the fans will forgive it - look at what happened with Torres (and no, I'm not comparing the 2 form wise).
