They have a lot of potential in that side mixed with some good, experienced players. The dark horse for the Euros
Also when you look at Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy and Portugal they've all been pretty poor since the world cup. Belgium could get to at least the semis of the Euros
Belgium have a great team on paper, but they'll never win anything.
It's an extremely divided country with an often very divided dressing room. In spite of having players like;
Courtois
Kompany
Vermaelen
Hazard
De Bruyne
Fellaini
Lukaku
Alderwiereld
and more I cant be bothered to type, these players will never be more than a quarter final team. A real shame.

Are you suggesting it isn't? Because I'd take a look at some facts about Belgium before you dismiss anything.
The Belgium/French Belgium social issue affects their team. A lot.
No sir, it affected some past teams. And that has very little bearing on the current team to be honest so i don't know why you are pontificating.
Spain also had a lot of social issues which also affected the country and their teams a lot; their golden generation dealt with and went on to achieve unparalleled success.
Before anyone jumps down my throat, i am not equating this Belgian team to the Spanish team; i am merely dismissing certain opinions and attempts at clairvoyance.
The whole Flemish/Waloonian thing? How many world wars is it going to take to truly unite that country? They got to get over that carp, really. Otherwise just give half to France and half to Holland if they can't grow up and get over that age-old B.S. A lot of fine players in good form right now. I would hate for us to face them.
They have their golden generation right now. With the players they have they should be winning tournaments.
The rankings are a joke, how can Portugal be 7th, they just lost to the Cape Verde Islands and always struggle through their qualifiers.
Ridiculous that Belgium are ahead of teams like Spain, Brazil England and Argentina
Wales will make a mockery of this ranking next week.
How can you be a dark horse if you're ranked #2 in the world?

werent they your dark horses for the world cup too
The rankings don't say much although Belgium are a top 10 nation.
Despite being embarrassed at home in front of their fans I would have Brazil behind Germany who are also struggling.
Actually Brazil and Argentina are the two top nations in international football
Then you have Germany, Spain & France.

So Brazil are behind Germany, but Brazil and Argentina are the top two nations ahead of Germany?
Is this the 'say really confusing things' thread?
Belgium have a poor defence and their midfield is lacklustre.
Mentality is huge at international level, and good as this crop are their lack of a history makes them underdogs against the big boys imo.
Perhaps come 2020 they'll be in with a chance.
Is Belgiums defence poor?
Courtois, Vertonghen, Kompany, Alderwerld.
Pretty solid with a good midfield and players like Lukaku and Benteke up front.
They played well at the world cup and only just went out to Argentina in the quarters. They're probably one of the best teams in Europe currently based on the form of the others.
