It is seriously good though Forza

Watched Revenant Thursday, brilliant I really enjoyed it, very gritty but looked fantastic and Di Caprio does a great job as usual.

One of the guys I saw it with wasn't impressed, but he's not impressed unless theres a goodie vs a baddie and loads of skyscrapers getting wrecked

Tell him to go watch Fast and Furious instead or something equally dumbed down.

I also really enjoyed The Revenant

I liked it but I don't think its as good as its being built upto.

IMO Di Caprio has done far more compelling stuff, more worthy of an Oscar than this. But seems he'll get it this year because of a mix of his method acting and sentiment

Agreed he's been in better movies than this, but that doesn't take away from this film, not many better that I've seen lately

Getting a bit more hype than it perhaps would if the lead were someone other than Di Caprio though I agree, he will eventually get his oscar through sentiment even if this film is topped by something else at the awards.

Yeah I wouldn't begrudge him it at all. I don't think it was bad by any stretch of the imagination, I guess he was limited in how much acting he could really do this film given the role.

My his best, but a very good film nonetheless

What do you think is his best?

He is one of those actors though, that just doesn't seem to put his name to bad movies, great career.

Yup hopefully it stays that way. Nic Cage used to star in good movies and look what happened to him.

I think The Departed was my favourite DiCaprio performance so far, especially a lot of the scenes with the great Jack Nicholson.

I was addicted to that when in school. Surely it just can't be the same..... Though David Duchovny could probably still carry it off....

ah crap... looks like they going ahead with a John Mclane prequel.. Die Hard: Year One!!
directed by Len Wiseman (DH 4)... good grief!!

What on earth could the story be?!
There was one that was doing the rounds about McClane in a prison having to stop the criminal element... but this prequel idea sounds terrible to me!!

Do we know who's going to be playing John yet?

Sounds like a bad idea though, especially with the DH4 director.
