Inspired by Branded to Kill.

Which has a focus on really sharp and eye catching cinematography, which would suit the individuals I've mentioned who are film noir specialists. But also what I think's called Japanese New Wave and had a kind of sxey, quasi comic book feel to it. I think it would be a great new challenge for Reed and for the actors (who were French Noir icons).
Throw into outer space or some kind of futuristic environment, and all bets are off

cagney wasn't a noir guy. forgot i'd mentioned him.

I think one of the reasons is that both wanted to be the main hero and star in any movie they did. Apparently Face Off was originally written for Sly and Arnie to both star in but it didn't work out sadly.
