"A lot of people" offended by a little hip hop music because they want even more Zimmer. Probably find it's the same people that accuse others of being easily offended and woke that are offended by something like this.

It’s no so much being offended, but it just took me out.
It’s a sequel, to a good film. The Hip hip track took me out, and for me it’s not the sort of track I’d use.
Not saying hip hop can’t be used, but try to fit in with the style. Something abit more epic.

Now I’m thinking this was just for the Trailer.
But if they are hinting that they have changed the style… that could lead to problems,

Hans Zimmer's Gladiator soundtrack is iconic. It told a story in itself, it carried the sadness and hope that Maximus exhibited throughout his journey. It made every scene more visceral and poignant. It added a dimension to the movie that you will rarely see and it built a world that we all felt like we existed in, during that movie. By using a new type of music genre, you unravel everything that the first movie established. The fights, the politics, the crescendo of noise in the Colosseum.

It would be like creating a sequel to LOTR return of the king and using Abba as the soundtrack or replacing John Williams SW themes with Led Zeppelin.

That's just my opinion. Gladiator is in my top 5 favourite movies of all time. It reasonates with me in a way that every few movies ever had and a big part of my love for the movie is the soundtrack. I can close my eyes now and be walking through a field of barley and hear Hans Zimmer's theme carrying me onwards.

Naaah. What we need is Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton doing the twist in the middle of the coliseum.

That wouldn't be out of place at all.
