I'm going to include Return of the Jedi as even though it has it's detractors it has too many iconic moments in the series

Yeah it's probably not as good as it could have been but it still holds up really well and the Jabba palace alone makes it iconic

The original plan was to make them wookiees which would have elevated the movie. But maybe Lucas had PTSD from that infamous Christmas special

Guardians 3 was good. I thought Ghostbusters Afterlife was good as well if that counts as the third in the series.

MIB 3 was better than 2 also IMO

The Apes trilogy was so consistently good.

Not seen the most recent one yet

this is push ... but Bond: Goldfinger was better than the previous 2

I think 3 is a step down. No real memorable or iconic scenes or dialogue like the fist two have.
