My mate's bird saw it and she said it was your typical Hollywood disaster movie ticking off every stereotype in the book.

Probably nothing you haven't seen in Day after Tomorrow or 2012 except this one has a WWE wrestler in it.

This is exactly why I loved it. I knew what it was going to be before i even finished seeing the trailer for the first time weeks ago. Its a disaster film. Loud, stupid and stoopid. Sometimes thats what I want from a film. They dont all have to be classics.

Plus Obi wan is a fan favourite character so there definitely would be a great deal of interest. There are so many possibilities for spins offs when it comes to star wars.

Spins off movies i would like to see:
Obi wan
Bobba Fett
Darth Maul
Anakins jedi training(Gap between Phantom and Clone)
Han Solo(Before New Hope)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

There was some talk of a Boba Fett standalone movie but not sure there's enough meat on that bone.

I'd like to see a Han Solo movie taking place before a New Hope that included Boba Fett as possibly the main antagonist in the movie.

Maybe we see Han starting off as working for the Empire. That might work seeing that Han isn't exactly a good guy when we first see him in A New Hope (especially if you believe he shot Greedo first).

This is what is great about star wars - if they have enough balls to do a guardians of the galaxy move they will see there is plenty of meat on the bones, and just to start a whole new story about anything is possible just as long as they do the lip service.

Let's hope for some origin stories as said above because I think these would be pretty cool.

I would love to see a Darth Bane movie as I would love to see how it is portray from having 100s and thousands of sith to the inception of the rule of 2, and just to see the other side.

As well as the Rogue One spinoff it looks like there will also be a Boba Fett standalone spinoff movie according to Vanity Fair anyway:

http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2015/05/boba-fett-star-wars-spinoff

Maybe we'll see a young Han Solo feature in that movie as it will undoubtedly take place between the events of Episodes 3 and 4.

Does anyone else here watch the AMC Movie Talk: Jedi Council show on YouTube ?

It's a weekly show where they chat all things Star Wars and that's where I originally heard about the Obi Wan spinoff movie which would actually be a trilogy.

Seems there is nothing official about it yet though.

Found this source reporting about the Obi Wan spinoff:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/06/03/obi-wan-star-wars-spinoff_n_7503448.html

Interestingly they also say that the Boba Fett spinoff will be more of a joint Boba Fett/Han Solo spinoff which makes a lot more sense seeing as there is a lot of history between both characters pre Episode 4 and a lot of story to tell.

Chris Pratt is possibly going to be the new Indiana Jones even though there's nothing official yet.

I think they might go for a slightly younger actor than Pratt if they do a younger Han Solo movie.

Bradley Cooper would have been a good shout ten years ago but he's 40 now.

I suspect they'll be looking to cast someone between the ages of 25-30 or who at least looks that age.

posted on 14/6/15

I think they might go for a relative unknown for the role just like Ford himself was when he was originally cast as Solo.

Have a feeling they are going to go overboard with the Pratt starting roles soon and we see his limitations as an actor.
