Venom did $80mill opening weekend
My son saw it and said it was the nuts.
I think that’s the demographic
Went to a secret screening last night at Cineworld, was The Hate U Give
Politically charged, not something I’d usually watch and it was ok. My great

Saw that too, wouldn't have gone to see it usually but it was a decent watch. Young lead actress carried it really well which basically was make or break for the whole film. Probably a little too long, could've trimmed 20 mins off of it. Ending was a bit too nice and tidy.
Yeah agreed it could have ended better, it didn’t flow as well as I wanted it too, it had some really good parts and the dad/boyfriend bit did lift the somber mood for the majority of the film.
Really wanted it to be Bohemian Rhapsody but given they’ve picked Love Simon and this, it’s more a selective choice
Might see First Man at the weekend

I missed the Love Simon one, which I'm not too unhappy about.
Incredibles was a great pick last time!
This was good as it's one I wouldn't have gone to watch otherwise.
Maybe they'll go with something more mainstream next time after Love Simon and this one.
Was glad it wasn't Bohemian Rhapsody tbh, not fussed.
Seeing First Man next Thursday.
Renewed the card last week for another 12 months, used a friends staff incentive portal where they have a few offers on and got a 12 month card for £140, so 1 film per month and it's paid for, whereas I probably see 1 a week
Really sad about the writer, of The Hate You Give.
She passed away on the day of the films opening... RIP Audrey Wells.
Ok, im going in! Gonna see Venom tomorrow.
(Whose laughing?!.... i can hear laughing??)..
Venom appears to be one of those very rare movies that people are still flocking to the cinema to watch despite some fairly awful reviews
And not laughing at you Stringer
Got through Iron Fist season 2, entertaining silliness
Anyone watched any Jessica Jones season 2 ? Just started watching it but there's a Kilgrave sized hole in it so far. David Tennant really was the star of season 1.

As long as mad max:fury road has high reviews on rotten tomatoes I won't take anything from reviews. That is probably THE worst film i've ever seen.

was not intoxicated when I watched it, or now.
What didn't do it for me?
The whole film. Just terrible. I don't know anybody who likes it other than movie reviews and my mrs!

Your opinion is incorrect
if it didn't do it for you, then so be it.
I just remember thinking, people need to win oscars for that. sure it was a simple idea. Executed brilliantly.
Loved Furiosa. Hardy was his mumbling self, but was just fine. But the action!! my word!! Stunning.
Along with a cracking music score.
Have you seen better car stunts since?
An ode to the action genre. And for me sits very well amongst the greats..
