Disney certainly thinks so. Personally I like to think of Star Wars movies as having a universal appeal and not aimed at any specific age group.

It does that. The problem with the newest ones are the cast. The girl is annoying and the bad guys are poor. They really should have made her become the bad one, and Kyle ren or whatever he's called become good, would have been the way to go.
Rick and Morty S4 being released earlier now in UK on Channel 4, later this month
Watched Dirty Grandpa last night. Not hilarious, but a few funny moments. Some of De Niro's one liners were great.

I think the way to go would have been to give the original trio (Luke, Han, Leia) more screen time together and more importance in the overall story arc ( if one even exists in this trilogy, I'm not convinced it does).
Even if the movies were as poor as they have been the audience would have been far more forgiving I think. Anyway they've dug themselves into a hole and there's a lot of panic behind the scenes at Disney over this movie.
Apparently they've shot three different endings and they still don't know which one they're going to go with.

My theory is that she will turn to the dark side, makes a good twist and Star Wars is all about twist's with the OG epic twist of 'I am your father'
They won't turn Rey to the dark side. Not as long as Kathleen Kennedy is in charge of Star Wars. The problem is that Rey's character is utterly ridiculous and not remotely believable or relatable in any way.
She's perfect and indestructible throughout this trilogy and no doubt she will win the day easily in this movie again without a scratch just as she has in the previous two movies.
If the trailer is anything to go by she might have some very brief dalliance with the dark side in the middle act of the movie but then she'll be back to little Miss Perfect Rey in no time ready to easily overcome any antagonists.
Allegedly in one of the three endings that were shot Rey beats Emperor Palpatine with ease and test audiences started laughing because it was so absurd.

Where do these rumours come from? Sounds like complete bollox.
They actually built Anakins power up pretty well over the prequel trilogy. He has to train and gain power in the war to be able to match up to Dookus level which was the barometer for high level Jedi/Sith
It was always about his potential and he never actually got to achieve it
But nah when we get to Rey the training with Luke meant nothing as she had already beaten her main threat with no training in the 1st film ffs

The new terminator has been panned, but I bet I'll like it more. Star Wars is so overrated outside the originals.
Also with disneys currebt PC overdrive, I can't see how they'd turn Rey into a dark character, purely because they'll be so preoccupied with sending the right pc message.....
...and will ruin the trilogy (worse than it already is).
