Same with Line of Duty. Thought it was kind of dull in its first couple of episodes. So I gave up.

Was convinced to go back to it a year later and got through all (at the time four series) of it in two weeks.

Two months or so back I found a series called The Newsroom

with Jeff Daniels as the late news anchor (it's on Sky series)

The opening sequences where he's doing a Q&A with students & one asks him "what makes America so great" & he launches into a diatribe of why it's not so great was riveting...- binge watched the entire two series in about two weeks

Classic case of a series opening exceptionally strong & got you hooked

That was good. Got into it from Youtube clips and ended up binging the whole thing last year.

One of those shows that had a top supporting cast too. Always liked Dev Patel and Olivia Munn in it.

A lot of this thread is about movies you want to see, what about those you don’t want to see at any cost?

Take the painted bird for example. A film so sadistic that the audience walked out in disgust after 20mims.

For those that don’t know, it’s a Czech film about a lost boy in the villages of an unarmed Eastern Europe country during world war 2, that is uncompromisingly brutal throughout.

I don’t want to watch this. But is there anyone who would watch this, or have seen it? What films are on your list to never watch.

I read it’s beautifully shot, but it just sounds far, far too harrowing for me. I’d be interested in hearing what you think when you do watch it.

I started watching the series batwoman, yeah I'm a superhero fan.

Honest view, it had potential but the cast is wrong bar the Alice character.

Also and it's not due to homophobia, the whole focus on sexuality is stupid. It's overdone

Seinfeld is a classic because it influenced nearly every comedy that came after it, it’s the greatest ever IMO and I’ve watched a feck load. Yes it had a somewhat slow start but as soon as it found its rhythm it was greatness from then on.

Probably why it's been a big flop. Sounds crap and the reviews have been terrible in general. I'm a big Batman fan and I'd be fairly interested in a Batwoman show if done well but this is just pandering to a section of people that probably couldn't care less about this show anyway.

They should do a Nightwing series. Fans have been wanting to see more of that character on-screen. We were meant to get a Nightwing movie but it didn't materialize sadly due to other reasons.

I've only seen her on the crossover episodes & she seemed like a very uninteresting character.

I used to like the DC TV shows, but Arrow and Flash went way downhill. I tried to watch Supergirl and really wanted to like it (Melissa Benoist ) but it doesn't seem very good even though she's quite charismatic. Batwoman doesn't even have that.

Like Legends and Black Lightning though & will enjoy binging them whenever i have to go into lockdown

Chirpy Burpy Cheap Sheep was the best for me. The 'King of the Sheep' episode with Chris the unhappy sheep.
