Didn't stick with it to the end. I remember i gave up when they were all jammed into a plane wearing life vests.
I saw a few episodes of Dexter but didn't like it and had zero interest at the end of it. For some reason all I remember is feeling it was all shot on a fish-eye lens.

Are they redacting the finale a bit like Prison Break did? Dexter's finale was terrible.

I doubt they'll be redacting it. How could they ? But it's a chance to carry on Dexter's story in a new setting with all new characters. Could be fantastic if they've got a good storyline.

What I'd like to see happen in season 9 is Dexter decide that he wants to try to track down his son and gf in South America. I think that's probably what they'll do, it never made sense to me that Dex would permanently abandon his son so this is a chapter of the story that needs told. And of course Dexter's son will be a teenager by now which adds an intriguing element to their interactions. His son would probably reject him as well. Maybe his son has already started doing some serial killing of his own.

Yeah that would be the idea. I doubt season 9 begins with Dexter in his lumberjack outfit lol. It will be set years later, probably taking place in South America with all new characters apart from Dexter of course. Obviously they've come up with a good story arc so we can forget that terrible ending.
