It's Indy himself in this movie. He's old enough now. Really not sure I'm too interested in seeing an 80 year old Indy.

This movie was a great chance to give it to a younger actor surely. Could have been a direct sequel to the Last Crusade with the movie still set in WW2.

Think they're going to set this movie in the 60's but based on Harrison Ford's age it should be set in the 80's.

Watched a quiet place 1 last night. actually a good film, was just expecting one of those jump scare flicks, but they built tension very well.

7/10

Going to watch the second one later. First cinema visit in about 2 years

Stringer I like the fact that Indy has no actual effect on the outcome of the movie. The N@zis were always going to take the Ark to that island, open it and die horribly. Indy just added to the body count along the way lol.

He found the Ark, they didn’t!!! Nah, don’t you go revising history, I’ve heard this bulljy, that Indy was only along for the ride. He’s the greatest. You know it. I know it. You all bow down to the professor...

Everyone got jokes now.
I don’t see the jokes run, when Arnie is playing the Terminator or facking 80 yr old John Rambo still ripping peoples guts out!!
But oh no, here comes Indiana Jones, get the Zimmer frame joke out!!
you’ll miss him. When he eventually hangs up the whip... you’ll miss him. More than Han Solo.
I’ll have a tear in my eye, I know that much...

Stringer my hesitancy of a near 80 year old Ford playing Indy is because I love the franchise and it just can't be anywhere near as good as the original trilogy for that reason.

It's a highly demanding action role and I just don't see how they pull this off unless Ford is taking a backseat. I'd rather see Indy recast with a younger actor so we can see Indy in his prime again.

Nobody is going to be as good as Ford in the role but that doesn't mean that someone else can't play it well. And I didn't even bother watching Last Blood yet for the record even though I love the Rambo movies too.

You know I’m only messing Superb, I fully understand.
However, for me, like nobody else can play Rocky Balboa, the same goes for Indiana.
I say leave it be with Ford, and what we have is a great passage of time to appreciate.
I know what a prime Indiana does, but at this point, are we not invested in the character?
I would love to see a worthy bookend to one of cinemas great characters than have another rehash, just for the sake of it. Turn it on it’s head! Surprise us.
Look what Mangold did with Logan. Doesn’t have to be downbeat as that, but just be that more clever about it.

Yeh, I’d go with that. 4za.
I’d say the only way to keep Prime Indiana Jones alive is through Animation. Do like what DC does with Batman...
Ford could do the voice-over, I dunno, it could work.
