Apologies, I meant in terms of gameplay. From what I remember, it was just running and gunning broken up by cut scenes. It worked for uncharted , because Nathan drake had a bit of charisma and charm. Lara in this game was just screaming her bloody head off all the time. Which is fine, the angle is that she's a rookie archaeologist. I just didn't appreciate it personally.

The first Fraser Mummy film - which I was referring to - does not include the Rock.
_________
All blur into one after a while
I had a chance back in ‘99 or rather a choice, to join a post production company or join the production crew in Morocco for the scorpion king...
cos of my fear of planes I chose the Post production company. But I went to the cast and crew party for it.
Wanted to meet the Rock, but he never came...
it’s only cos I had a good friend that worked on it.
Little did I know that his family were all about Hollywood blockbusters. That’s all they worked on...
While I went on to get shouted out making edits for playboy at 3 in the morning, my mate went on to Tomb Raider, Batman Begins and the like....
No regrets.... well.... a little...
You worked on playboy? Do tell.

Nothing special, it was the one of the jobs they trained newbies on. Didn’t realise it at the time, but a test of character as well. Edits were easy, cos nobody cares for continuity... but how professional you were, around the women.
Then you would move onto the good stuff.. MTV music. Sky Sports.
Playboy got boring real quick.

I thought Universal were onto something with their Dark Universe. Cruise.Depp.Bardem.Crowe all posed for a cool photo shoot.
Died a death, they should’ve carried on...

There was no coming back after the monstrosity of a film they called Mummy. One of the worst films I've ever seen.
Ever.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wonder about you rtm. Sure the mummy was bad, but I will make a allowances for entertaining, which is why I think not all marvel films are shiiit. But you seem to be a hard man to impress, unless it’s an odd niche indie movie.
You seem a bit contrasted

I'm basically the best audience member a filmmaker can hope for. Anything you throw on the screen I'll absorb and believe. I immerse myself completely and put myself in these characters situation. So if you can't impress me, and I have a very high tolerance for cheese as a horror fan, then you've done something wrong.

Didn't realise you were in the movie industry for a bit Stringer.
I'm a Film/TV Editor. Freelance now, but after working as staff for Disney for almost 20 years.
I reckon if i didn't choose to join the Post Production company in '99 i would never of discovered BBC606.
So, silver linings and all that....
Cool mate, I'd ask what stuff you've worked on but I know people don't like getting too personal on this site lol

Riders of Justice was good. I recommend it. Dark humor throughout and action done well. Plus you know Master Mads is always great.

Yeah, really good series. Got to wait til next year for S3 though, very frustrating! Read a lot of the books years ago, the series has the potential to be quite long running if it chooses to....
