BW I'm not a big fan of modern day music, it's all corporate backed Ken and Barbie dolls lip synching to bad music these days.
No reason why you can't create a music thread though mate. I'm sure some people will want to chat about good music.

not so sure superb, apparently the writer is already flapping his gums about it and said is not as dark as s1 and does not have the implied supernatural elements

Forza I actually didn't like the first episode of True Detective and gave up on it for about four months. Just thought it was too bleak. Then went back to it and got gripped. Glad I gave it a second chance.

I am not keen either, but I am surprised no one has created one yet, the music genre is quite broad, where discussion can vary from R&B to Opera, old and modern etc..

Hey Biggish I'll have a go at Penny Dreadful. I wasn't entirely sure what audience it was targeting. Is it a bit like Supernatural ?
Are you still here in England by the way mate ? I presumed you are. Hope you're all settled in now and not missing Park Lane too much.
I quite like penny dreadful, and if the second is better all good - slightly darker more adult version of supernatural imo superb. Also if you like that Salem is pretty good and just started its second season. And i dont believe no one has mentioned one of the best series from last year - sleepy hollow.

Not at all my friend, its just most peoples take on "modern music" is a generalisation used with a lot of people to desribe popular music, or the most common form of music found on the radio - and quite frankly it is shît, but as one of our friends above pointed out, there is a big difference between music we generally find on the radio and music produced today.
So just to clarify what most us neanderthals have been saying is modern popular music on the whole is crap, and we dont listen to any other types of music so we therefor generalise "modern music" as stuff you find on Radio 1 on a sunday afternoon.
So then if that's the case I would say modern music has always been awful
The radio will never be the place anyone should ever look to find good music. It's been too many years to think it would all of a sudden change for the better. I would suggest doing a bit of research and giving some lesser known bands/artists a chance. Chances are you still haven't discovered your favorite yet.

I had watched the very first episode of Vikings some years back and didn't like it. 4za and some others here got me to give it a proper go and I am thankful for that because its great and a type of story I like. Hopefully the same case for TD.
