I started watching the first five minutes or so of American Sniper but just started laughing at the cliché bit at the beginning where the Dad tells his son you're going to be a great sniper one day son (or something like that). Then I turned it off

There's nothing to celebrate about killing Iraqis. Maybe Hollywood would like to make a movie about the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis (men, women and children) who lost their lives in that utterly pointless conflict. Somehow I doubt it though.

Blimey...dunno whether to watch it or not now...

Watch it Sheriff, it's not a bad movie at all. Sometimes you just have to switch your brain off and not think too deeply about what a films about. People happily watch Vietnam films and America had no more right to be there than they did Iraq.

Not Iraqis but "savages" Disgusting really.

Has anyone seen Spectre ? Haven't seen anyone comment about it and I haven't seen it yet.

Hopefully it's better than the slightly overrated Skyfall.

Going next week...only heard good stuff so far
Skyfall slightly fell flat in the last scenes in scotland for me...otherwise was excellent

My mates have seen Spectre and apparently it's good. It's also a long film at 2 and a half hours, but it doesn't seem like it. Which in my book makes for a good film.
