I hope it happens
Should be the nice wind down fight that was promised to us and give Oscar another nice pay day
Oscar with his gambling debts and Golden Boy promotions up in the air would love this pay day. I won't be tuning in for sure.
How can it happen? It'll be so one sided surely
If there's enuf money on the table , anything can happen.
Who'll pay for it, i certainly wouldn't
really cant see it ... Floyd would get truly slaughtered for picking that fight. Oscar was waay past it when he was still boxing let alone now. I might get some stick on here but i really dont think Oscar was anywhere near as good as history books will make him out to be. Granted i didnt watch the majority of his fights live (i have since watched the recordings) as i have only really properly watching boxing for the last 5/6 years i just fail to see how he justified the hype other than being fairly big at the weight, good looking and mexican. If someone wants to correct and educate me then fire away. He had a decent jab and strong left hook but he lost pretty much all his big "50/50" fights at least how i seen it....
I could see this fight happening. Not saying that I'd want it to and I certainly wouldn't pay money to watch it.
I can actually see Floyd taking a couple of fights like this to beat the Marciano undefeated record, regardless about what he said about retiring after his next fight.

No way Oscar can get down to 147 at his age
----------------------------------------------
Maybe not but would they have to fight at 147 ? Floyd fought Canelo at a 152 catchweight.

He'll have to lay off the burritos and enchiladas for a while

I'd assumed Oscar's comeback was a bit of a publicity stunt and no more.
I really can't see this happening, who would buy this fight? People seem to watch Floyd for one of two reasons - either in the vain hope he'll get his face caved in or to admire his skills.
There is absolutely zero hope of Oscar winning this, zilch. So those buyers are out.
And Floyd wouldn't even be slightly tested so those hoping to see his skills would be bang out of luck as well!

If that fight goes ahead, it just goes to show what a farce boxing is a times.
If Oscar does come back, I guarantee, EVERYONE on here would watch it.
In regards to Mayweather's next fight.. Khan, Brook, Thurman. They're all in the runningKhan is probably the favourite. Floyd Sr did say last week, they dont wana give him the payday. They know what Khan is looking for. Floyd Sr however holds little clout when it comes to being involved in Floyd's next opponent. A move up to 154 to fight Cotto isnt out of the question either.
Floyd/Manny retiring will be a good thing for the WW division. Its embarassing seeing most of the top WW guys avoiding each other in the hope for a big payday against the big 2.
Thurman/Khan/Brook should be all be on each other's radar right now but they're not.

Good point.
I hope he doesn't come back. If he did then I wouldn't be tuning in regardless of who he's fighting. A fight against Mayweather? That would be a farce of the highest order.
People need to stop trying to draw attention to themselves (Not you Aceface btw but so many others) by saying they wont watch Mayweather if he fights so and so. Its embarassing. So many people said "they wont watch Mayweather if he fights Manny now because its 5 years too late" Come the weekend of May 2nd, "I caved in and ordered the PPV, had to be done" You will all watch it regardless of who he fights. Whether its Oscar, A Mere Con, Andre Berto or a taxi driver from New York.
BK. I was like you when I was younger. Young dumb and only gunning for 10/10 models. When you get older, you'll realise saaan that the Janes of this world are the full package
Yeah thats right. Jane from Eastenders is relevant to Floyd Mayweather's next opponent.
