The whole oil situation is particularly frustrating. The west sucking off corrupt countries who have huge oil wealth when they should really invest more of their resources in renewable clean energy and do all they can to move on from this oil based society.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sadly our politicians are beholden to these corporations. It is a serious problem and it makes me doubt every single intervention. Defence contractors are another set of dangerous people

Crazy me agrees with you too,and unlike many from my unionist community,I opposed our involvement in Iraq,Kabul and Libya,as we lose lives, kill people, seek oil and leave a mess...............and that is no reason for radicalising anyone, btw.
If the tourists from Tunisia come home, get a gun and shoot up a mosque,I would not try to understand them,or develop a rational for their acts, even though they were specifically targeted, injured, and saw loved one's butchered beside them.
We need to drop reasons for evil,by all,and that is not aimed at anyone here, btw.

As the other thread got closed by the moderators, I just thought I'd post my reply to you on here;
"I am pointing out that some muslim's use violence, and justify this by saying the west is solely to blame, and I suggest otherwise."
The West isn't solely to blame. With that being said, I can understand the frustration and anger some people may feel with the foreign policy of western countries who have not helped in the Middle East and Asia. However, the way in which some of the people manifest their anger and frustration is wrong as they turn to extremism.
I am not saying the West are the only agent responsible - in fact, I have made that abundantly clear that Muslims themselves are to blame - but the West have to take a certain degree of responsibility as well, in my opinion.
You can't raid families' land and destroy their houses without being held account for it.
You made a point that Islamism was happening before Bush and Blair. I agree with you. But the situations in Libya, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan certainly escalated it even further. It gave these fundamentalists even more of an excuse to continue their violence.
If the tourists from Tunisia come home, get a gun and shoot up a mosque,I would not try to understand them,or develop a rational for their acts, even though they were specifically targeted, injured, and saw loved one's butchered beside them.

I agree with most of what you posted, bud, above at least.
I know the west has messed up,but islamists were also attacking the west, and 9/11 changed things, don't you think,on America's part?
Saddam gassed kurds, and invaded Kuwait, fought with Iran,so people forget he was an evil thug, and although it is worse there now,how could the likes of Saddam be left in charge, along with the Taliban,or Gadaffi.
For selfish reasons, and to cut off excuse supply lines,I would not have got into Iraq etc,but who would stop tyrants there, and in the future.
Weird how we can slate Blair and Bush, and almost say middle east nutjobs were ok,and I am not saying you are Samir.
Why do admin panic lol?
What would be very cool is to see would be the Scandinavians start killing for Odin. Old skool stylee, hammers, axes and swords.
Get to the airport and some 6'5" bloke in animal skins, a helmet and beard yells "Ragnarok M*THERF&CKER!!!"

Why did you quote the quran, when daesh isis are not true muslim's.........on the closed down thread.
Who is saying the quran or islam says it is ok to murder anyone?
Debate against daesh,AQ or boko haram are not islampophobic, but rather pro- ordinary muslim.

My point for trying to understand the motivation behind this is to learn from it so we can prevent it from happening.
I have never justified or endorsed any form of violence. It just escalates the problems
When guys on here start attacking radical nutjob jihadi's,some ask them,do you know what is written in the quran,or have you read all of the quran, and I have seen this tactic on TV too.
If the person points out that a gay man was thrown off a building,or women raped,by islamsits, the old,it does not say that you can do that in the quran, line is produced.
Guess what, islamists are being evil, and whether they distort or try to use islam is a point open to discussion, but the mass bloodlust continue's.
It does not say kill black worshippers, but white racists do this.
Islamist nutjobs are evil too,and bringing the quran into it is possibly blasphemy.
Apart from the most braindead natzi, who thinks the quran justifies or allows daesh or boko haram or the Taliban to be evil?

I know what YOU are saying and trying to do,but it is a thin line for other people who atr trying to stir the pot, radicalize and recruit.
The I ra murdered my mate's Da,just after we all came back from Ibiza, and it gutted us all, wrecked my friends family, and made me hate the Provo's.
Now,I was a loyalist activist anyway, but murder's such as those close to you can lead to retaliation, but God says, thou shalt not kill, and so I did not.
Many on both sides did kill, and look where that went here.
Even if there is a reason,it is no excuse for daesh and AQ,and we did not have to understand the reason's for German natzism to know it was an evil.
Somethings are just pure bad,and need to be stopped.
This requires using our brain's,and we need to learn from history, but propaganda is radicalizing some muslim guys and girls in a matter of months, and the things on here may be partly true, but do not mean anyone has to murder, due to the actions of a government.
I am starting to believe well reasoned threads are a threat on here,lol...........they rarely get a reply,or a quick one,at any rate?
I am sure this will receive a witty put down, given time?
Good luck all.

Heated threads can be the best, and notice how these debates have 9oo posts at times.
As you say, better to be calm and rational, but it is politic's,religion and life.
Bound to flare up,with how muslim's and Christian's and all innocent victim's have suffered.
Man's inhumanity to man will result in heated discussion.
I do not envy admin's their tasks, with us lot.

In which case you've got to look at more than just foreign policy mudd. Anger at the west is not the sole reason the Tunisian attacker did what he did. Part of the reason it happened also includes why he felt justified in doing it.
Egypt now under pro-daesh isis spotlight, anf they say they are coming for hamas,in gaza.
Now,blame the west on that one.
Hamas, enemy of Israel, threatened by the islamist hero mob,daseh/isis.
Could not make this up in a sad soap story.
