The greats of yester year

He was only 'fat' in the last couple of years of his career in all honesty, he just didn't quite have the pace he used to have when he was at Madrid that he had at PSV, Barca and Inter and that was because his knee exploded twice, he still came back to win the World Cup in 2002 and be Madrid's best player for a good few years

Ronaldo already made a mockery of Messi and Ronaldos international careers

................

Bit hard to judge certain players on International Football.

Probably best not to.

No you didn't, David Silva is in your list and wouldn't make this one for obvious reasons.

Ronaldo.

He's worthy of the nickname fenomeno in my opinion. He had everything a striker needed to be great and he had it from such a young age. Destroyed La Liga when he was about 20 or 21 and then went to a league where hatchet men were rife (to this day I still remember one of those old school Juventus defenders taking him out at the Delle Alpi and the ref ignoring it at the height of their match-fixing/bribery) and killed it there too. If you go and watch YouTube videos of his skills, you'll find that he was the one doing some of the stuff Ronaldinho started doing 4/5 years later.

If you consider that his injury nightmare started around 98/99 when he was only about 22 or 23, I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that he could have been right up among the greatest ever if he'd managed to maintain or somehow improve on his performances. He was probably only at 75% capacity at Real Madrid and still did great for them.

Even to this day, the final in 98 and watching him burst into tears when he retired still gets to me.

1) Ronaldo
2) Ronaldinho
3) Rivaldo
4) Zidane
5) Figo

I've always thought Rivaldo is one of the most underrated players ever. He seems to have been forgotten about. He was an incredible player. At his best i'd have him above Zidane.

You aren't allowed to rate anyone better than Zizouverrated, the Zidane fan girls will start having kittens.

Rivaldo doesn't get the credit he deserves, probably because of his long legs appeared to make him look ungainly in comparison to the more graceful French thug.

It's more to do with how his career petered out I'd say.
