Age is no problem with the right mental attributes that Schweinsteiger has. If it is an issue that he's lost a bit of his game (which he might not of) you just put him in a three man midfield with someone younger to do his running for him. Herrera would be perfect for that and you get the benefit of Herrera learning from Schweinsteiger at the same time.
