Haha Top stuff. Windows 10 is not something you should get for at least a year in my opinion.

Any new software like this should usually be avoided for a few months until the bugs have been sorted. Same thing happens every time Apple have a new OS.

People are just desperate to have the latest tools even if they don't need them.

Never ceases to amaze me how many people update their old iPhone and then start complaining that it doesn't run properly. What do you expect mate? You've got an iPhone 3GS!

I declined the free upgrade... hate the app-based layout of new OS's. I'm on a W7 downgrade and I'm quite happy, thankyouverymuch.

I'd let them load a slideshow of Jay's pictures on my 4KTV, as long as they sorted the onscreen keyboard out on my surface pro 3.... It is fücking useless, hoped win10 would fix it, but alas no.

It is really annoying how programs are now called apps and the way they are presented just makes them feel cheap and basic. It's like they're trying to jazz them up for stupid people who love their tablets.

Sad but so true.

I've got Windows 10, installed it last week. So far so good. The apple thing winds me up though.

When I used to live in Aberdeen, you would see people sleep outside the apple store in Union Square just to get the new phone.

Exactly

I quite like the sophisticated, neat and tidy appearance of my pc. I don't want a News box or an eBay box or a fackin Weather box moving around on my home page. If I want the News I will go to google and search News

MUUD

It's a lifestyle thing for people who can't think for themselves. You see people in coffee shops with their Macbooks worth over a grand and all they're doing is looking up their FB account.

Saying that I'm currently on my Macbook Pro reading a football forum, ha.

Mine didn't do this with my images. He clearly did something to the start menu.

Touch screen keyboards are still an issue on all devices. On our Surface at work we just use the mini keyboard attachment whilst out and about.

He's probably saved his pictures in his "My Pictures" folder. Schoolboy error.

posted on 3/8/15

It was probably when he was setting screensaver up... anything in My Pictures, or subfolders of, will be picked to go through screensaver.

Maestro

Nah, work from home, just made a cup of tea. I've used Macs for 15 years and they just seem so much more intuitive than PCs, for me anyway. I was given a Microsoft Surface Pro last year and was intrigued and gave it a go but hated everything about it.

My, "my pics" aren't in a slideshow on my start menu though.

He must have set it up to do so.

I love using a Mac. I use Windows at work but not by choice. Our IT company is only Windows based.

Ubuntu is my favourite though.

I used to store my photos in

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Plugins\_temp"

Never got found.
