Not sure if that's any good or not been ages since I played it. Try googling ff7 speed runs. That should give you some idea.

That's not how you're supposed to play FF VII. You're supposed to spend at least 40 hours obsessively breeding chocobos and buggering around at the amusement park.


I think the remake is more likely to be released in 2017 so that it's a 20th anniversary celebration.

Flying through an RPG seems....wrong

I've completed it about 10 times probably more over the years, just figured I should play it a different way!

Or play a different classic RPG....like Divinity: Original Sin

I'm not really a fan of speed runs, especially on RPGs. And re FF7, I've completed it loads of times over the years too and still enjoy taking in the story.

A way I found that was good to play it was:

Not using tents or stopping off at inns to recovery health
Not using purple materia
Not using enemy skill materia
Not doing any unnecessary leveling up
Cannot buy weapons or equipment, can only use what you pick up or steal

It made the boss fights, battle strategies and overall difficulty more enjoyable IMO.
