come on villa I've backed you at 9/1 to win with both teams to score, great price.
I also backed you at 6/1 after around 65 mins or so to win v Bournemouth, I'm hoping you are my lucky charm team this season.
Think if Gestede starts he will cause united all sorts of problems especially if Blind plays at center back.
I am sure you guys can beat DollarUnited.
Spurs were all over them in the first and last 20 minutes.
And their standing keeper is a....as mad as they come
Come on Villa
Utd wont even have to turn up luck will win it for them again.
In the past under SAF no matter how many goals we put past them they'd bounce back and score at least one more. Don't think they're quite like that now. We have a chance.
We need to get at them while not leaking goals. Hoping Tim has got the team organised to do just that.

what? You did nothing once Kyle Walker scored. Kane was in Smalling's back pocket for the rest of the 70 mins of the game.
Blatant penalty turned down for Villa.
Richards wasnt just tugged at, he was grabbed and pulled backwards!
Shocking decision by the ref.
So, it's OK just to grab the other player and keep hauling him back. If you're Manchester United of course.
WE need a bit of luck against them deflection and could have been pen so it wont happen as usual.
We do need to be more aggressive this half as they are not that good, sadly neither are we..
Guys I know it's earl but am liking Amavi and Veretout alot
i agree fan not the end of the world there are positive signs
Much better start, those two look like they gonna be great buys
one thing Rooney is still crap
Yup
Better second half but definitely some positives
OK, we lost, but saw some very positive signs. Plus a few things which ain't yet sorted. I liked the speed and link-up play, the positive approach, the willingness to take the ball off the opposition. We've bought some cracking good players and I'm amazed they've gelled so quickly.
The big gap, as ever, is the lack of a real striker up front. The sort of player who not only knows where the net is but has got the movement to provide the right sort of target, who can outwit defences. Gabby can't do it, in fact he's hopeless at it, Ayew strikes me more as a roaming AM, and Gestede has his strengths but we don't know yet if he can provide that real threat up front.
I'm wondering if we ought to be playing Sinclair more as a striker.
Thought Amavi and Ayew down the left was good, once/if they play alot there together could quite exciting. Veretout and Westwood also looked good in the middle, jury out on Gueye. Gestede not natch fit so give him time.

Disappointing result against a far from vintage United team and performance not great either but some positives. Definitely agree that Amavi and Veretout look good. Gueye I think is good but just needs to tidy up his game a bit, understandable when he has never played in the PL before though. Also think defensively we have improved since last season, even though it is still early days. The real test for the defence will be when we go to places like the Etihad and Stamford Bridge. If they go there and don't concede 4 or 5 like in previous seasons then we will know we are more solid. We need to concede far fewer than in recent years. Last five seasons we have conceded 57, 61, 69, 53, 59. Agreed we need to score more but improving that terrible record at the back would give the team more confidence to attack.
Weak links are definitely right back and up front. Bacon is doing his best at right back but my opinion is Richards should play there (he isn't organised enough to play centre back) and we buy a centre back at least as good as Vlaar to partner either Clark or Okore (when fit). Going forward we really need a player who is proven. Hopefully when fit the likes of Grealish and Traore will give us a better dimension and threat but Gabby should be nowhere near first team, he should not and cannot be our main threat. Gustede is only an aerial threat so we need a good crosser if he is to be our main striker, which we currently don't have. Ayew looks average to me, and Kozak is too immobile. Someone like Loic Remy would be amazing for Villa and a real signal of intent, his game time at Chelsea is minimal and if we could just get him on loan it would be great. If not him then Hernandez at United, or go back in for Austin. It's clear we need someone who knows where the net is and has good movement and we must get someone in before the window closes.
*Bacuna is doing his best at right back
