VC, he's been training with the reserves since last week. I think it was some form of punishment I guess, but since the Villa game he's back training with the first team.
Evans is in the CL squad isn't he?

I've heard nothing on Evans, I think the club are slowly trying to forget about him too. He'll probably get a deadline day move somewhere.
I was expecting him to be walking around sulking, with his arms crossed!

Spoke to a guy the other day who said he'd like to see us buy Buffon as a replacement for De Gea in January. This whole Dave situation has made people say some weird stuff.
I would love that, he's still quality but he won't leave Juve at all. He even played in Serie B with them.

I read something a few weeks ago (haven't got a clue where) that said Real have had to pay DDG £5m ALREADY, due to an agreement they had earlier this summer if they hadn't signed him by a set date (can't remember the date - obviously its passed).
Perhaps if this is true, Real are dragging their heels because they don't want to now have to pay top whack for him having shelled out money to him. They were obviously really confident of just riding roughshod over us.
Has there been any case of players getting a sign on fee from their next club? It all sounds fishy to me, he's still under contract at United.

tbh if De Gea does leave id stick with what weve got, i think Johnstone has a lot of quality and could grow to become our no1 with time, 1 season or 2 behind Romero and he will be ready
Whilst I obviously do not want De Gea to go I think it would serve Real right if he does decide to run down his contract and go back to Madrid with Atletico.
By then he will have realised Real didn't want him enough this summer and I would assume that Atletico could afford his wages if there is no fee involved.
If we are resigned to losing him next year I would hape that we are trying to do some kind of gentleman's deal with Atletico by not selling this year and getting a player on a reduced fee next season.
In an ideal world I would like him to stay and if he does have that additional year here he could yet be persuaded. A lot of things can happen in a year and who knows he may not be with his Spanish girlfriend and could have found himself a nice Mancunian girl!
