I been slagging fab off last year, but i have been harsh, he was the driving force behind our winning season last year. Wouldnt say he has no dynamism. just think hes a bit of a sloth. Hope rooney comes well for my FF aswell.
only 2 games in but fabregas has been woeful. But hopefully he can sort himself out, he needs a box to box midfielder next to him, but ramires cant control a football.
last week** not last year. my bad.
Yeah Rooney has been the best English player of his generation, but he has declined quite significantly.
Cesc has always been limited. Never a great athlete, never a good dribbler, never good on set-pieces or good defensively.
Torres, Owen, Kaka, all players who started to faze out in their late twenties after pretty much being first team starters from the age of 17/18 onwards

Gerrard > Rooney.
Completely different players emre can, but rooney has won a hell of a lot more(and been one of the reasons for winning) than gerrard.
Rooney was way ahead of normal development when he was 17 17, he predictably just peaked early.
He looks about 45
Plus hes always been stocky/tubby
With Rooney even now there's always that expectation of him. Maybe because he's the biggest utd and England player, but he's not going to reach the heights of 08-11. Fabregas however I think still has a lot to offer. He's gone so slow though, and at 28 that's not a good sign. But there's no doubt he still posses the best vision in football. Maybe the years at Barca have taken it's toll on top of the injuries suffered at Arsenal. Same could be said of Rooney. Maybe both are burnt out. That was always a concern that was bought up with Rooney in his teens.
OP. I agree. One more game and I'm switching over to the anti-Rooney brigade.
Also. #teamtrump
Both have been regular starters in top level football since they were 16, could be burn out?
Saying that, Fabregas has always been much better in attacking midfield where he can drive forward with little defensive responsibility. Rooney just looks terrible.
