Shackell put the ball out that many times today I kept looking for someone lying down injured.

True Backo but the competition now has a 5 game start.
Mind you, I'm always optimistic

Go Jays. Used to love going to the SkyDome. Paul Molitor and Joe Carter were the Darren Bent and Tom Ince of their day as I recall, not all fans in Toronto being delighted with their arrival. They did OK though. Is that big painting of Joe Carter still there on the side of a building?

Hebs...look where last seasons Champions were when we comfortably beat them 2-0 at home. All not lost mate by a long way.

Called the Rogers Centre now, Joe Carter is still there though. If Bent becomes Derby's Joe Carter I won't complain.

Even the yanks are saying it's 93 again, we're hammering everyone in sight, it's like we've gone Twenty Twenty on Baseball's ass.

Perhaps that is where we are going wrong. Get Bent filled up with steroids and tell him to take part in one of the most boring games on the planet.

Don't make me set Hurst Farm on your a55 tomorrow Spart.

Thank God Forest and Newcastle lost today.

Burton are doing well

Chelsea!!! I wonder what the mighty one will find to excuse this performance. I always thought Bolasie was a good lad, better than Zaha any day.

At what point do you decide a signing is a "success" or not? By most standards Bent and Ince were a great success last season in terms of the goals they scored. Fans who have decided to dislike them focus on the matches we lost when they were in the team and say that means they are bad players, but bad players do not tend to score lots of goals. At the moment Ince is pretty much the only player we have who seems to carry a threat and I have seen nothing to suggest he is a prima-donna player - I have watched his tracking-back carefully and he has done this as well as even Jamie Ward in his prime.

Weimann has done very little so far but these are very early days. Some of the wise old heads will of course remember players like Colin Todd and David Nish who had poor starts to their Derby careers and who in the modern era would doubtless have the likes of Spart trashing them on chat sites after fewer than half a dozen games.

People ARE funny.

Final score - 15-1

2 games up on the Yankees and 9.5 on Tampa Bay.

I had a Blue Jays cap, just had the outline of the bird on it, no other logo. I used to wear it when playing golf, along with other items of clothing. I loved that hat but I don't have it any more and I have no idea what became of it. True story.

Where's Igor when you need some levity to the situation?

I wasn't aware I owned any equine type mammals 2W.

Colin Todd looked class from day 1.

You can be as patient as you like Vidal but none of Bent, Ince, Weimann or Shackell will do anything. They aren't good enough. Even when Ince was scoring regularly last season I wasn't impressed with his play. He has actually played better this season but is yet to have a shot on target. Shackell is even slower and less mobile than he was when he left a few seasons back. Burnley must be laughing their socks off.

The jokes which won the best jokes at the Edinburgh festival were of a similar calibre to the ones in an infants school play ground. My how cutting edge humour has progressed.

We just have low expectations of comedians Spart........., otherwise life is hysterical

Thing is Spart, you're convinced you have some sort of wisdom because you are very old, when it's just that you are very old. Most senile old berks have a similarly high opinion of their opinions.

Moods not great though.

I think it's the value for money thing though Vidals. I like Bent and Ince and rate both of them but for the money we paid and are paying in terms of wages, were there better deals out there?

You said yourself they're icing on the cake players and I don't understand why we didn't spend the money on central midfield, which in my uneducated mind was where we most needed some tlc.

For the money spent on Weimann, Bent and Ince we could have had a quality midfield that could have got us up even if we had Gary Teale and Lee Croft playing out wide with Conor Doyle and Nathan Tyson on the subs bench.

I think Baird was a good bit of business, Shackell I think we paid over the odds for and am not sure why we brought Weimann as a replacement for Ward when that's not his position.

As for Spart with all your property, I'm sure you're not an assless wonder if you looked hard enough.

I would hope Bucko does come back, and quickly, and they sack Chris Evans even quicker. He is to talent spotting what Rebekah Brooks is to journalism. Blimey they've offered her a job.

Vidal

I am convinced I have some sort of wisdom because I look at what players do and what the outcome is. I would love it, just love it, if the new signings were a success but all the evidence is pointing the opposite way. I am certain we will improve and the strength of our squad will move us up the table but as I said at the beginning of the season, I don't think we will make the top 6.
