If he was to be sacked or he ever resigned, who is there that could/would take over?
I wouldn't say we were "shouting for Mertesacker". He's a good player, and to get the best out of him, you have to play a system that negates his lack of pace.
Aerially, he's naturally very good, but to stick him into a defensive line that's closer to the halfway line than the edge of the 18 yard box is suicide.
If he was sacked/resigned I would like to see Marco Van Basten here, because he was a brilliant player, no other reason. But I'd prefer to see Wenger stay.
To be honest until wenger goes and we turn into city signing 35m players left right and centre I don't think fans here will be happy as they tend to be quite hysterical.
I'm reasonably happy that I got an apology and a free ticket after Sundays fiasco and that signings appear to be on the way. At least something appears to be happening.
Unfortunately I think many fans will get their wish and Wenger will be off to PSG leaving us with martin o'neill or someone signing 20m+ english players for the hell of it
Too many drama queens in the game. The players we know about. Many managers travel this route too, although I think few actually believe the kak they spout sometimes.
Then there's drama-queening supporters, whose only wish is for 'their' club to spend money it hasn't got to satisfy their need for vicarious importance.
Football is a very sick puppy.
Yep. Dont want sneidjer he is just another midget who couldnt deal with a cold night in stoke!
