Southampton should be to strong for us even with
fringe players playing but IF we can produce a solid committed proformance it won't be a walk over for them. Normally I would say cup games can be a distraction to the league but right now the more games we have the better. My heart says a score draw then win on penalties but my head says a fairly comfortable win for the Saints.

Lookin forward to the game tonight lads, alot of my family from Swindon so sort of look at them as a 2nd team, hope you go up this year.

As for tonight I think we will play some fringe players but will still have enough about us to win, and the players/Adkins will be looking to bounce back from an unlucky defeat at Leicester on Saturday, 3-1 Saints for me

Cheers Saint, do you think Adkins will risk Barnard who is on the verge of a start after injury ? He has been quoted he won't be risking him and a couple of others after injury but don't know how accurate that info is. Apparently Saints have sold around 600 tickets so I'm

As for Barnard I'm not really sure, if he is fit, I would like to see him get 90 minutes as he hasnt yet played this season, if not though, probably not worth the risk, even with an international break, think Chaplow will start though as been banned for last 3 games.

We will be taking this game seriously, as you know from last year Adkins installed a winning habit in our team and after losing our first competitive game in 11 on Saturday will be looking to get back to winning ways quickly

Can't make it tonight, working till late, agree with you Notts would like to see Connell play hasn't had the best of chances so far. This game I just want a good performance thats all you can ask agaisnt on paper a better quality team a result would be nice but won't be gutted if we lose.

Notts, I'd like to see Clarke and Connell start - Magera looked very laboured on Saturday and I think he needs to get to up to match fitness. I'd like to see him on the bench for some game time though.

Happy with the side overall...would have liked to see McCormack in instead of J Smith. Let's see us give it a real go!
