I think a majority of the posts referring to other clubs are posted in the opinion of just causing a few laughs .
If I'm completely honest as a spurs fan I think both Liverpool and us have massively underachieved for years.
Both clubs have spent 100 million plus on some complete shat.
I do agree with Carragher when he said Liverpool should have fired him in the summer rather than letting him spend more money .

I don't disagree with the gist of what Carragher said, Liverpool are not a big club as much as we are not comparatively but I just saw the bringing up of another club in his comment as uneccessary. If you want to mug your own club off feel free but don't bring other clubs into it. Like the comment about other CL teams aren't bothered what players we buy, of course they aren't you plum as they don't have to play us, they just buy our best players from us.
He did dangle the WUM carrot though and I may have had a little nibble.
Is it possible that Caragher was referring to us in the context that Liverpool spent the same amount as us or more only to fall short ?
Any one reckon there should be a rule that stops teams bringing in more than 3 players per window ?

I have always found the big club debate laughable. Its easy to support a club that wins most of their games. However when supporters turn out in big numbers to watch dross on a regular basis that makes the club big in my book. Newcastle are the obvious example. If Carragher thinks Liverpool are turning into Spurs he should be pleased. We have a group of young talented players and a superb new stadium on the horizon.
I agree with the sentiment of this article, but to an extent I understand why we see so many of these posts, particularly the obsession with Liverpool of late....
For a long time we've been a 'nearly club', always knocking on the door of dining at the top table but never quite making it. Liverpool's generally decline (in form, not so much in fanbase) has been seen by many Spurs fans as an opportunity for us to climb one rung of the ladder. We're still not as big as Liverpool by some distance, but we can rightly claim to be the 'better team' overall for the past few years.
On that note, the Rodgers obsession is understandable. He is a poor manager, way out of his depth at a team like Liverpool. And I think for all the jokes and wumming, many of us are genuinely concerned that they will now get a decent manager in, and we'll see them climb back above us.

They don't stop talking about us in the media.
It's bound to create 'debate'.

This is simply not true. There were articles on the Spurs board a week or so back complaining that pundits were ignoring Spurs. I am sure they talk about United, Chelsea etc more than they do about Spurs.
In your head you highlight the bits they say about Spurs and ignore the rest so much so that it leads you to perceive things that are not factual. I keep seeing articles with a 'the pundits have it in for us' theme on nearly every board. Leaves you wondering whether really they have it in for anyone or whether its the fans delusions that are behind such opinions.
Morning all
SSS I can understand what you mean about the quality of some postings but tbf slating other teams is part of the fun of being a fan in cyberspace no?
In the PL era, Liverpool whippersnappers and their dads mostly considered Spurs beneath their notice, constantly listing their own European achievements blah blah blah ad nauseum.
I truly believe that it was only when we qualified for the CL in 20/11 (and they didnt) we suddenly became their football enemy no 1. They were and have remained jealous as fack that we earned the right to play in Europe and did a good job.
Unluckily for the purists 606 and JA606 coincides with this era. (also i truly believe that the younger generation are losing braincells due to too much sugar and TV!)
Morning BB,
My gripe is not so much with the material, but the fact that it's used in such high quantity. Do we really need 7 or 8 Pool bashing entries when we could all come together in one?
Also I don't mind bashing so much, it's just when it's incoherent and leaves Spurs as a club open for attack.

It will not change because this site is funded by advertising and the wumming articles, by fans of all clubs, tend to get lots of comments and increase the overall footfall of ja606. I wouldn't go as far as to say the Admins encourage wumming, but they passively condone it.
Most football fans detest Adrian Durham, but while they complain it means they are listening, no commercial enterprise cares about content, just the naked figures.

Here's a thought, be like the Scousers and have every other team banned from your board. If they didn't infest the place people wouldn't write articles to wind them up
