bit between for me....'arry and tim cld be a pain.
but i do like the gaffer to have a biy 'o charisma...poch is a bit boring for me.
Dim is back in the news today saying he is inspired by Pardew. In the sense he left the Bar Codes and got a job with the Eagles and is doing ok. Dim neglects to reflect on the point that Pardew has some grasp on what being a manager actually is rather than simply someone with an inflated opinion of himself.
Did anyone see Harry loose it with the German journo in the studio after the game. The journo was commenting on how we always used to be a soft touch and now there appears to be more steel to our play. Rednapps face lit up, his eyes bulged and he went redder than Fergie ranting at a ref asking for more time in the 98th minute.
Rednapp demanded to know when Spurs were a soft touch and when the Journo said forever he then started to reel off his Top 4 achievements blah, blah..
By the way, Even in your tenure Rednapp we were always a soft touch and got given the run-around and stomached some hammerings.
To be fair to him he did mention he liked Poch as a coach and Poch doesn't have luxury of the calibre of players he had worked with.
Feel Sherwood is out of his depth personally. He did ok with us but lets remember he was taking over a team in the top half of the league and one that had over £100 mill spent on it. Apart from massaging a few egos(Ade!!) any half decent coach could have matched his achievements. All said good luck to him.
Prefer my manager to be quite. Hate the mourinho/Harry loud mouths.
I nearly choked on my lunch when the journo said it, I thought Harry's bonce was going to explode 'Kingsman Style'! Didn't stop laughing for an hour. I can all but guarantee there was little bloke sitting nervously in the control centre with his finger hovering over the kill sound button...

Agree totally. A bit of Charisma is ok but charismatic individuals don't usually feel the need to spout off especially about themselves.
We were easily beaten in some matches under Harry but we also had some good results against the big teams. We made Liverpool our b!tches during that era. Had good results over Arsenal, City and Chelsea. So I can see why Redknapp would defend himself there.
Tim Sherwood on Villa
"The last few weeks have been boring, I've felt bored watching it. People going square, sideways, I'm not telling them to do that. I'm telling them to express themselves."
WTF is that?
Like Harry telling Pavlyuchenko to go out and run around a bit...
I thought good old 'arry used to say get after them.

Last Tim interview i saw - think it was post Chelsea game - he was talking about himself in third person, made me squirm.

He is still doing it!
Not sure what a psychologist would make of it, but it does sound wierd, as if he is only the spokesperson for this person Tim Sherwood!
No one cared about Harry running his mouth because we played beautiful football and won many games.
I didn't like redknapp running his mouth regardless of the football.
he was overall a good manager at spurs but he really was a caaaant
To be fair Harry I didn`t mind, he had some good results against some good clubs, but he also had some very poor ones, remember the semi against Portsmouth.

Didn't really matter what anyone said to Pav, he couldn't speak a word of English! In his first interview (translated of course) Pav said he was really lucky to be able to kick a ball as he was that thick he would have probably ended up driving a lorry like his dad. I liked Pav...
I think in Pochettino we have a very promising manager/coach, who deserves the chance to build the team to his liking.
By this I mean he should still be running things when we move into the new stadium, and I expect him to be barring an unforseen disaster!
I think Levy has also realised that chopping & changing managers is unproductive, as it takes the club back to square one all the time.
Now that Poch has moved on most of the deadwood & brought in some really good & promising replacements, I can see us possibly challenging the Top 4 over the next two seasons.
Can we do it this season, well if you told me that we would outplay United at OT & only lose to an ogger & then remain unbeaten until the middle of October I would have had my doubts. Yet here we are 9 games in and that is the case, we have won 3, drawn 5 & at least 3 of those draws we should have won...........Leicester, Stoke & Liverpool.
Yes I am happy the way the team is shaping, just don't start getting annoyed if we have a hiccup along the way! COYS
I'd settle for Poch eating jellied eels from a flat cap while talking to Neil Custis through the window of his car if it means turning a few draws in to wins and Kane scoring
