Can't just admit you got it badly wrong
Pathetic
Not defending bates
But the fact te Russian bought chelsea off him, completely blows your theory
The Russian did buy Chelsea off him but didn't Bates shaft him regarding the stadium?
For all his faults at least Bates had enough about him to realise three managers a season was probably not a good idea.
I recall a few years back a certain Mr Carver trumpeting that he was going to employ a 4-4-2 formation which was met with enthusiasm on the forums.
After a few weeks of Leeds getting hammered 3 and 4 he was sacked.
Rawdon, do you mean this?..

Looking at that he seems to find a lot that's going to the wall, I mean, what did Chelsea cost him?..
And even after saving so much money on them, he managed to take them to the brink!.
"serious financial troubles"!.
"following a large-scale attempt to renovate Stamford Bridge."!.
Well, maybe he was preparing Elland Road just for the fans but Cellino got in the way!.
Yeah that's what I meant Germany. I can just imagine anyone looking at buying Leeds from Bates at the time must have been scared stiff by the web of offshore companies in case a similar situation occurred. Who actually owns Elland Road now? Is it owned by 1 person/company?
Rawdon, the scary bit with that is, many believed/believe he has his fingers in or around that pot!..
I think there's more to him and Elland Road but those webs are worst then an ant hill!..
You can imagine thousands of spiders crawling about under his bed waiting for the wrong people to stray into the right pockets!.

Does "lubo" still post on here?
All the best
Talking of Lubo and Mr Bates, at one time Lubo was the highest paid player at ER, how much of it he actually saw I'm not sure, who did the deal Bates and his next door neighbour in Monaco,
One of the best articles on here for a long long time
"Cellino's impending ban might just be the catalyst for wholesale change and I for one admit to being wrong on this occasion and look forward to better times at ER."
That's big, and I compliment you for it, Stevie!
Too many others just cannot admit these things, on this topic and others.
Well done son!
