We will see staright away by his 1st team selection. He must do as UR did not & play to ours stregnths to what we have NOT try to shoe horn players into roles he wanted to play a style he believed was for the better.
Jesus couldn't turn this side around to be a promotion winning side
But I think he will do well, am not unhappy
Has your mrs been getting more attention from her rabbit?
Then again will he be allowed to pick the team
Evans has been very succesful wherever he has managed and as long as he drops Mowatt and Wootton we may then play with 11 men and no passengers
A win tonight would kick-start his tennure as Leeds boss for sure.
He might be a fat so and so but he's now our fat so and so and I really hope he does well, seems to have some passion about him and knows what Leeds United means, still thInk we have a decent set of players so let's see what he can do, I would expect Byram to be RB tonight, MOT
Leeds62,
can you please explain to me how Wootton takes the brunt of all abuse, yet every time he plays he is pretty solid?
Can you explain to me how he is any worse the Bamba and Bellusci?
No, you cant
He might be a fat so and so but he's now our fat so and so
---------
I'd ask for your money back from that political correctness course you went on last week!
Depite the reasons for appointing Evans are probably wrong (his team beat us in cup and he's out of work and cheap) I think he might just inject a little something into the team.
Will be interesting to see ow Rotherham's and our fortunes play out now that we've reversed head coaches.
Hollands Pie's might be paying half his wages ..........
He may stay on the pitch at 1/2 time to see if he can win a dozen ..............
Uhhh Wootton has cost us at least 3 goals from mistakes/being beaten too easily this season already and he hasn't played a lot, are you serious?
Wooton isn't a right back and whilst garbage going forward, has been good defensively there.
Bellusci or Wooton at centre half
No Brainer
I agree about Wooton i'd have him at centre half before Bellusci anytime ........... he's a makeshift RB at best, so hasn't done that bad.
The conundrum is who plays RB? Berardi isn't a weak link at all, but then you have Byram ...... Byram only gets in if Berardi is covering LB while Charlie T is out injured/ill. Other than that Berardi has done nothing wrong to warrant being dropped .....
Thought Wootton had a good game on Sat, not a lot he could have done for their first goal, would still play Byram at right back though.
Which player hasn't cost us from mistakes? I would blame no challenge in midfield for both their goals on Sat, the second being Antenucci turning his back.
The back 4 are busy because they've not a lot in front of them. We've got great young lads, with bags of potential - but opposition midfields I feel are having an almost free run at the back 4 each match - eventually we concede. I don't want to start crucifying the youngsters, I think each of them are great, but they need help.
As a squad we're not a million miles from being good..... we just need a Rudy type player (hopefully better) in there to properly lead and disrupt the opposition. If he can pass too, hell that'd be brilliant ......... !
Can't say I'm optimistic about this appointment, but happy to give him a chance.
It doesn't take a genius to work out we would be better playing Byram at RB than Wootton.
But from January to May last season Wootton played there and was one of the more solid players week in week out baring in mind he is being played out of position.
He wouldn't get in the side if we chose out best 11 but I certainly feel safer with him than I do Bellusci, 100%
Wootton and Mowatt have been useless at best Wootton if you watched MKD and Brighton game was easily beaten for pace and when he went forward sauntered back .When he played CB against Doncaster gave away a very silly penalty
I hope Steve does well and I enjoyed the pun about
Half his wages being paid by PUKKA PIES
He's now saying expect some players in. Loans obviously.
Well we could do with a couple I think.
A bit harsh on Mowatt!
Last game he had a major impact for our goal and set up an unmissable chance for Wood (which he missed).
He also hit the post when he charged their keeper down.
Cook is the play maker but Mowatt's free kicks can cause major problems for defenders.
Having said that he needs to up his game but I could say that about everyone of them at the moment.
You can spot the people who go to games regular and them or don't.
Mowatt has been our most creative player.
Did Wootton not play under Evans at Rotherham so he may play at CB tonight if Cooper not fit with Byram at RB.
Bellusci might not be Evans cup of tea.
Ps. Jonty - George Whitebread was running the course.
Also optimistic about Evans. Not happy about Pearson leaving for many reasons. Biggest being MC going all MC on us again resulting in Uwe's fate.
Agree on Wootton at CB and not Bell. And hope Byram is in at RB. Berardi on left. Also hope Ant starts.
Hope the pie man lets Botaka loose.
