Still better than tonight.
Didn't make up any ground tonight then, Igor ?
Jorvik Stanton and No Wonder all got 1 point in the prediction league. We're all getting too optimistic!
My apologies, you had the Stanton bit.
I did. You had me panicking again 😨
Just back in, thread seems back on form, but I take it the players had the night off?
Yip Wicklow, just glad the Blackburn players decided something similar.
I'll take solace from a clean sheet away.
Jacob still appears overawed by his price tag though.
Still not on the bloody plane
You been waiting all evening Griff?
yep a good point in the end I suppose. The lad is probably trying too hard, he will come good, pity we didn't last a bit longer in the league cup, it would have given some of the non 1st teamers more space to play themselves in. Its nice in a sense that the last year's team apart from Shackell and BJ are still there on merit.
Been waiting since Monday morning. Boarding in 5 mins
Safe flight, Griff
Did he ever get back in, by the way ?
Just back same old Certain players up front don't look interested.....if players are tired give players ago who are biting at the bit simples
Good night
Just got back. That was a tough earned point. Not a game to shout about but we got a point. Defended well centrally but too many crosses to defend for my liking. Midfield off the pace a bit tonight. Not much threat up top either so all in all a good point playing like that at Blackburn. We move on...Huddersfield here we come.
Don't worry guys and girls, it's gonna happen
A question for the tactical experts on here - Wassa, Backo and 2 Welles (Hope he's OK - haven't heard from him for a while)
Why don't we play Martin as a target/ball holder alongside Bent the ghost runner/poacher to run into the gaps ? I know it would men Ince or Russell standing down - but it seems worth giving 30 minutes or so when their defenders are tiring.
Ramdini...that option in my opinion is for when we are chasing games. Im not sure whether it would be a wide player we would lose but a central midfielder.
Last night it was noticeable...well it was to me anyway...that Blackburn "set up" to play Derby. Keogh & Shackell were allowed the ball a much as they wanted by Blackburn. They dropped off..made Thorne drop deeper if he wanted the ball...then pressure was applied to all other players when we played a forward pass. I would say that took a lot out of Blackburn and I will be interested how they do at Burnley in a 12.30pm ko Saturday. It was hard work. They didn't mess about putting crosses in either. What im pleased with is we are not a soft touch. We battled a point out without being fluent in a difficult fixture.
