Wolf Alice is decent. Growing on me.
Also really digging Gateway Drugs.

Great debut album. Have a lot of potential and a good variety of sound. Sophomore release will be interesting.
No problem RtM. What would you say is the greatest album of this decade so far? I love Kaputt to death but I would have to go with Helplessness Blues by Fleet Foxes. That album has some of the most introspective and emotional stuff ever put on tape. Just breathtaking from start to finish.
Poison Season is better than Kaputt by far. So i wouldnt even choose Kaputt regardless of how great it is.
But thats a thinker. Ill have to get back to you on that one. Have work in a bit so itll make my day go by faster
Have only listened to Fleet Foxes at a glance...dont remember them tbh. Will have to give that a go.
A band thats highly rated over here that I cant stand is Local Natives. Wish they would all get stabbed in the vocal box and lose their fingers.
BTW I have been having a problem lately, how do you manage to politely decline recs by friends who recommend music that is totally not of your tastes. I keep getting recs of the usual overpolished generic stuff on the radio and find it hard to say no without having to offend the friend. Just a bad situation really
Too late man. Once you enter the phase of knowing what you will hate even before hearing it you will always be seen as an ass hole. It goes with the territory of loving music, having good taste and putting in the work to find said music.
Just tell them you've gone deaf.
I tell them "listen to this really quickly. This is the sort of stuff i am into"
After about 2 mins they will generally realize they have nothing to offer you.
Like those people who listen to Ryan Adams album of Taylor Swift songs and act like NOW theyre good songs because hes covered them.
Poison Season will definitely be the first 2015 album I spin. I am as excited as I am anxious of it! Trouble Will Find Me by The National is also a contender but maybe it's just the fanboy speaking. Nothing that band touches is less than a masterpiece to me. If the decade begins in 2010 though, High Violet by them is definitely the best of the decade. Such a landmark album for me. That is when I discovered the band and it was a time I bloody needed them.

You won't be disappointed for sure. They are the ultimate grower band, once the subtleties get a grip on you, you are doomed!

No one has gone that far Usually it is just the overpolished and over produced pop masquerading as folk/indie etc because said friend know I am into those genres.
