I just watched the Fans Forum that some thoughtful soul linked to ja606. My first impression is that Mel has created a fully integrated organisation and he seems to have all angles covered. I am therefore very hopeful that he will succeed in his target of permanent PL top half presence. Good luck on that and I'll be shouting.

My second reaction has been to understand why Bradley Johnson (for example) is so enthusiastic and committed in his play. What he saw on arrival must have been like a breath of fresh air and something he or any player can build a career on. I can only be extremely hopeful and admiring.

I can now even begin appreciate Sam Rush's ruthlessness in recent times if it is to allow such a new broom sweep of the way the club has been managed.

Finally, I again point out the contrast between the two ends of the A 52. On the western end - a fully integrated and properly co-ordinated approach to all aspects of the club. And on the eastern end, the wild, uncontrolled, random and naive way that Farwaz is enforcing. No wonder the crowds at one end are declining whilst they are burgeoning at the other.

Congratulations Mel Morris and thanks on behalf of all Derby County fans - old and new.
