Best one was COD4! Got all the ones released since MW2 but barely touched them. Getting this one too, but no idea what the reviews are.
Reviews aren't so bad, form what I've read. It looks like they have put some effort in.
We'll see tommorrow.
just chucking out garbage now, same as EA with fifa
everyone still buys it though
I played the Beta and wasn't really that impressed. I just don't like the boost jump, thrust whatever you call it. Find it really annoying. CoD should go back to the WW2 or modern era, this futurisic stuff is pants.
Skipped through a video of the first 20 minutes of game play of the campaign earlier, it's looks like recyled COD crap.
I think doing a WAW remaster/reboot would be the route to go down next. COD hasn't been very good sign COD4.
Ok - not too many fans here..each to their own
I was a CoD fan, until BO 2. after that it just went downhill. 'Ghost' was a joke, and AW wasn't any better. I might still buy BO3 later on, when it reduces in price. Treyarch's CoD's are usually decent.
Released tomorrow? Done pretty badly to advertise this, I had no idea.
Getting it tomorrow and will let you know what it's like. Of anyone's interested
I've never been into fps games, where would be a good place to start?
Preferably on the Ps3, not paying for ps4 subscription anymore 😂
What RtM said, and I believe there is a new boxset with the goty editions of 1,2 and prequal
Think it's only 2 and the prequel Simon, don't know why they didn't put the first one in
Lefty, I'm very interested so let me know, played the demo and that in itself was better than ghosts and advanced warfare.
Saving myself for Fallout so if it gets good reviews then I'll get it post xmas.
For what it's worth the reviews have been pretty positive for this game, not my sort of game but fans of COD should have fun with it
Borderlands is a cracking game. Doesn't take itself too seriously, funny in parts and pretty solid gameplay (if a bit samey after a while).

Best of the bunch is borderlands 2 goty edition, also prob the best couch coop out there, well that and diablo 3
As Amiga said, if you like CoD this is for you but what i have been reading/seeing is it adds nothing new. Most negetives seem to be regarding the titanfall affect the game has, great to start with but soon feels samey.

Agreed. BL2 was very good, thought they did a much better job with Maya's ultimate than they'd done with Lilith's previously. Good story line, and very good DLCs too. One of the few games I've been happy to pay for DLC for.
TPS was good, but I didn't feel it had the same re-play-ability across characters.
CoD is good, but since MW/MW2, it's not been excellent. I'll probably end up buying it still.
I think farcry 4 is a good place to start. Excellent FPS but with enough variety to keep it interesting.
That's if you're going for single player.
I want them to release a re-mastered versions of MW1 and 2 for the new gen, I'd so buy that. MW2 had its issues but that game was a hell of a lot of fun to play.
Look guys we all know that CoD just hasnt moved on to be considered a well made game any more. I stopped playing after Ghosts that was a shambles and by all accounts advanced warfighter was even worse.
Now I will go on to explain why and to be honest its fairly logical and actually makes sense (tho i stil do not agree !!)
Now CoD about 4 years ago really peaked in terms of sales and players playing (long term) that was them at their absolute limit in terms of numbers of players in the genre of buyers. Now since then numbers havent actually plummeted as much as folk would think due to the poor releases. It still goes straight to no.1 and always holds the no.1 spot in xmas sales. Now with this info picture this. The head dev would have meeting with the Directors, at this metting they would discuss ideas for the next CoD, targets what can be done in timescales etc... now in order for CoD to get back to what it was (in its day) in terms of gameplay and longevity then a fresh approach is needed, new engine, dedicated servers a complete overhaul to be fair. Now imagine that dev then asking for the funds to do this. "it will be awesome we will be the talk again, clans will go crazy and we will be no1 again (at least critically)" the first question the director will ask how much, and then work out how muhc more it would net them. The latter is the problem (they have the funds!) but why spend money when they have already monopolised most of the market anyway, how muhc more sales could they actually make. Nothig that would justify the spend thats for sure cos the games still sells massively. So as a business man how can he possibly give the ok to spend more money on the product when it will make him a bigger profit it the limit the changes and spending. Shareholders are the deciding factor when it comes to CoD and the reason it will never change until it flops in sales.

Because intelligent business owners recognise when they need to change things to stay ahead of the game.
it's the whole point of investing in a business. For example, where I am at the moment could quite easily have used the back end systems it was using for the next 5 years. However, in order to stay at the top of the industry, you always need to be growing. and you can't do that without investment. If you stand still you will go backwards. The business owners deeming it less profitable to 'churn out the same crap' doesn't seem like a valid excuse.
