I think they have the potential and ability to hang around and be reasonably close but I think Rangers will over the full 36 games be too strong and have enough quality to get over the line
5 points is a decent enough gap even though recently it's not been quite as easy sailing as it began. If offered 5 point cushion in early November before a ball was kicked I'd have happily ripped your arm off.
Hopefully St Mirren do a favour and hand back some of the ground Hibs made up on Sunday.
The standard has been set for the season, with teams setting out to pack the defence, frustrate us (and rough us up) and hit on the break. We can certainly play a nice passing game, and if teams give us space we should win comfortably, but we lack the wee bit of flair to unlock defences, plus we're pretty weak on the break.
I still think we'll win the league comfortably in the end, but Hibs will certainly push us, plus if we get a couple of injuries it could make things a bit tougher.

Hibs have been underestimated since we facked them oot the petrofac
Time for us to get the collective heads oot erses and demonstrate why we're going to win this league
Honeymoon periods well and truly over
Its a tall order on Hibs.
Rangers have 5 points plus about 14 goals in difference. So they need to better at least 2 Rangers results And have 2 remaining head to heads to do it.
Still workable but in my opinion Rangers should have too much. Hibs squad is thin. Rangers are thin at the back.
'Should' bein the operative word there miller
It's down to what we do and imo we need to get better..performances have been under par for weeks and the hibs result was a given
Time to fix up and look fackin sharp
Naw.
I know they beat us, but they aren't all that great. Hivs have a few decent players and probably should go up with us, but we didn't take our chances last week. We were the better side on the day, we just didn't take our chances.
The junkies will finish 2nd
TheDC exactly.
Rangers definitely need to up the game. Sunday was coming for a few weeks.
I think it might be the wakeup call needed as there was too much of an invincibility. I thought St Johnstone might do the trick but maybe having a team from the same league that has the same targets will remind them it's not over til you confirm promotion. Rangers are the best team in the Championship in my opinion but a little humility doesn't hurt after you've been coasting and getting by.
Miller
If our squad is thin then rangers squad is anorexic plus yeez are reliant on a couple of players for goals whilst our goals are coming from all over the park
I expect us to overtake rangers even if Warburton stays, if he leaves and he probably will if offered the QPR job then I expect us to win it with a significant gap
discount gingers opinion as he is a fantasist
Fair enough Johnny I disagree
I think Rangers are plenty too strong
Nellie the elephant is packing his trunk and saying hello to the circus that is QPR
The warbs is here to stay
Miller yeez have no strength in depth, wee warby admitted as much and has said he will need to dip into the academy players rather than be able to rely on new signings.
It's well documented yeez have barely enough cash to operate never mind for signings, the likelihood is that Warburton will see the way the wind is blowing and will want to take a job down south if offered (QPR) let's face it he isn't rangers minded and will do what's best for his career.
You said hibs have a thin squad but the opposite is true, we have 7 strikers ffs plus decent back up in all other positions.
Face it Miller yeez are doomed on and off the park
DC
Warby is the favourite as he has already been a success in the championship with Brentford, imagine what he could do with QPR's budget.
stubbs is staying cos he enjoys making yeez look foolish on and off the park that's why yeez hate him and resort to silly personal insults?
Also stubbs is likely to end up at the tims so he will be making yeez look foolish for many years to come
Enjoy
Stubbs has impressed the hierarchy down there and has arguably a better record this season while doin well last season
Should let him go noo tbf...before he goes on strike or somethin 😃
DC it sounds like your a big admirer of stubbsy yerself?
Seems to me like yeev got a wee crush on the go.
Yer luck might be in DC, stubbsy does enjoy a bit of hvn pumping
Ye might have to wait yer turn behind laudrup though. <ok >
