Back from the iPro.

150 comments?? WTF? (Shrugs nonchalantly 🤔)

Comfortable in the end but just think if we get an early goal then we would be, oh, so comfortable.

Great goal from Thorne after a great Martin lay off. Weimann goal was well taken, not easy to score from that angle. Warnock was the man, amazing guile and know how. Keogh nearly gave one away - trouble is, any coock up by Keogh is disproportionately highlighted. Christie is so full of confidence. BJand Butters looked assured.

Ince is a lost soul 👻

Solid performance, but still not at our best. But as a 'squad' we performed and that performance was reassuring.
👍

Not really 'disproportionately highlighted' though, are they? He consistently costs us goals and is the defensive weak link but, because he's not quite as crap as for the past three seasons, suddenly he's pronounced PoTY by the ignorant.

We need better if we're to do owt about promotion and staying up. We might just be good enough to get over the line despite him but Uncle Mel needs to dig deep sooner rather than later, otherwise cash in on purple patch O'Hendricks whilst we can

Peabo's back: he'll save us.

Give me a player like Keogh any day rather than a daddy's boy spoilt brat who was abysmal.

It does show it's important that we score 1st in a game. If we conceded 1st I don't think they have the nouse to turn it round.

Correct, Watters.
Now who will explain to me why we are 4th. Same stats as Middlesthingy, but D comes before M in the dictionary.

Not sure, but I had a long car journey to a funeral with my sister and she asked about this 'football message board thing' I posted on and was there someone who posted from Catalonia cos "I know her son". Son had told my sis that he knew of me and the message board. 😀

Hope we can put our reluctance to got top of the league to bed on Friday?

Sounds like we were on-fire today?

Ey Up Cat.

So uhm people, forget solid, professional and top of the league did we have the swagger, rhythm and fluidity of the gods? That is all that matters in football, results, league position and financial stability of a club are mere sideshows.

That was an easy win in the end but we seemed to make hard work of it in the first half. Thorne had a cracker, an almost faultless display.

Johnson needs to stop giving the ball away cheaply then having to dive in to recover. We needed him for the trip to Hull but now that wont happen.

I thought the selection of Ince ahead of Russell was an error on Clement's part but he saw the light eventually.

Spart...Russell's bench part today was because of his brainless display against Forest. He deserved to be benched. Im a Russell fan but his display was stupid. Mind you...Ince has won the bench award next game

Spot on Backo, thought Warnock had a top game today too, sometimes we can admit we are wrong cough, Keogh, cough 666.....

Karl...Warnock has delivered back to back performances. Better than anytime since hes been here. Not a fan of him but fair play to him. 666 is never wrong so cut him some slack over Keogh. But I must admit in loving seeing Bryson back...hes not as good as Big Jeff...but great to see him out there again.

Keogh had his worst 45 minutes of the season in the first half today but is forgiven because of the standard of display in other matches. Warnock (the disgrace who should never be allowed to wear a Derby shirt ever again) was excellent and showed what a good player he is. He needs to do this week-in week-out and he will get most of us grudgingly admitting he may not actually be as crap as we insisted he was when he had only played 5 minutes in a Derby shirt.

George was back to his sumptuous best. The style of play annoyed some fans near me, the reluctance to play forward unless pretty sure that the ball would reach its target. The reason we often appear to play better second half, as we did today, is that the patient possession football does eventually wear teams down. It is hard for defensive teams to continually plug gaps and maintain concentration for an entire game and in the second period little pockets of space appear which we can then exploit with quick passing. Those complaining that we should get on with it quicker need to remember some of the soft goals we conceded last season when we gave the ball away cheaply when overplaying, especially when in our own half, Wolves away and Reading at home for example. We aren't doing that now and those cheap goals have dried up. We weren't fabulous today, just decent, and with a slightly sharper edge we would have had another couple. I was very happy, it being only slightly tainted by the disappointment of hearing about the tragic late winner at Brentford.

Vidal,

I give credit where it's due and the last 2 games Warnock can hold his head high, thought he was finished but if he can continue in this manner then he will win the fans over.

Thought Ince would have grasped his chance today, poor movement and wrong decisions when it mattered, needs to be a team player first instead of trying to take on the world or score from impossible angles.
