Agreed, but it was similar to the Suarez under Kenny who needed about 4 chances to score.

Don't think he's a Suarez but I do like him. Think we have yet to see the best of him which is good.

I don't think Firm will ever be on Suarez's level, but he will get better. He's more a creator of goals than a scorer I think.

I'm not saying es as good, but he's got a similar style of play. More about graft and perseverance and quick thinking than silky skills and knock and run pace. Similar to tevez too in that respect.

Firmino was very good today, gave the two centre backs a torrid time all match.

Firmino scored a few goals in germany btw.

Firmino is an attacking mid who can play up front, which shows in his finishing. Hes not a natural Striker.

I think we're lucky he can play as well as he does up front.

A for effort, but your reading comprehension needs work. Extra homework for you this week.

He is more of a second striker and less of a midfielder and he needs to play centrally. He won´t give the team control, if you struggle.

Klopp has to play him behind Benteke, but the problem is, that Coutinho has to play in that area as well and non of those three players really shines out wide.

There's also sturridge into the equation too. Its not a bad problem to have though.

Just a comparison of how Suarez was when he hit the EPL...

And I agree tbf, I have been and am very intrigued about this guy

He has talent, a winners mentality... If he expands on those qualities and shows tremendous heart, the we do have a player on our hands...

All hypothetical of course

Coutinho's best performances tend to come from the left, drifting/cutting in and either shooting or playing the ball through.

I hope he isn't the false 9 in the way Borini was under Rodgers

The most encouraging thing is that Klopp can see how to use the current players to create a team unit, where each individual contributes to the effectiveness of the whole. Great performance yesterday, individually and collectively.

You can't compare him to Suarez. He's never going to be that good, he doesn't have the talent. Some of the goals Suarez was able to score for Liverpool Firmino will never be able to recreate. Not many will.

Planet...spot on, can is a mf so play him in mf, shocking eh!

I believe we do have the players and fair play to BR for getting some in, but klopp does have the x factor doesn't he, and he crucially is a winner.

how do you know that ? are you Mystic Meg, Firmino may or not be as good as Suarez at the moment we will just have to wait and see.

"You can't compare him to Suarez"

ermm..he was compared to the Suarez who had difficulty finishing.

The difference between most strikers and Suarez is that the stuff Saurez does is instinctive, some would call it ' the genius quality' in football terms. Not many footballers at the very highest level have this.

It's when defenders know a forward is going to do something - that he's got an infinite number of tricks in his locker - but never know which rabbit he's going to pull out of the hat. Suarez has this.

That's what makes Surez almost unique, irreplaceable, and one of the world's best strikers.

Spot on. We now play as a unit. Injuries don't seem to have a big effect on team performance, silimar to Wenger at Arsenal. Unlike before, it was more about individuals and when a key player was out then it was affecting the whole team. I'm positive for the remaining games this seasons and then coming season. If we get a top keeper, top CB and left winger then Klopp will win trophies here.

We beat city without Henderson..sakho..sturridge and benteke on the bench. You could argue that's 4 players that make up our strongest spine.

City had two of their spine out in kompany and silva...so you could argue we were a lot weaker than them, yet the collective was so.much stronger.
