ok. D.G.C. if you insist, we won't read too much into our thrashing of Southampton.
is it ok with you if we read anything into our thrashings of Chelsea and man city then?
or do you have some spurious reason as to why they're not relevant either?
Got_Better
Sandy ....what's that smell?? Oh yeah, its called "rivals desperation" and it emanates from spurs at the moment because you know if we win we go level with you and you still have to come to anfield.
GB you will still be behind Spurs, unless you win about 12-0. Not desperation mate, just a hunch I have. Newcastle will be like a wounded animal, and desperate for a performance. Could be today.
19th title coming soon.

Better to read into the fact that Liverpool are still 7th despite those fine wins. You have to offset those wins with disastrous home results against West Ham and Palace. Not trying to rain in on your party, but rather trying to rain in your expectations.
Some very very average sides in the top spots, Fair Kay to Leicester but they are not a good side, they are a team playing well for each other and playing to their max every week but it is due to the fact that the so called big teams are poor most weeks.
I hear exactly what your saying GB and you could not of picked a better game for us today but football will always be unpredictable.
We do have a massive chance of making the top four if we can play half decent for the rest of the season and keep our better players fit
Kls....yawn. No proof but don't let a good yarn get in the way of the truth, eh soft lad

yes, we are, but then you also have to offset the fact we had a much harder fixture list to start the season than ANY of the teams above us, so yes, we would be expected to be lagging a little.
also, that we have our main striker coming back from a long term injury, and the strikers signed to cover him needing time at the start of the season to gel into the team, and also getting injured.
we are improving, quickly, and our home form will improve as well.
as for my expectations, am I expecting us to win the league this season? no, although given how things are going, we have as good a chance as other teams that are considered 'nailed on' title contenders.
what I am expecting is everyone in our team to do everything they can to get as close to the winning the league as they damn well can,
As long as they do that I'm happy to wait to see what position that puts us in at the end of the season.

There's no way Liverpool are as likely to win it as Arsenal or even City.

a healthy arsenal, probably not. but to just write them off isn't too bright.if they can break done these so called weaker teams, then why not. good manager and a solid squad.

are you f**cking serious? we are currently only 6 points behind city, 7 behind arsenal, maybe later, only 3 and 4 points respectively, with more than half the season to go, and as already stated, we've had by far the tougher fixture list to date, and unlike arsenal and city, who both seem to be getting worse, we are actually improving.
if you seriously think we don't have as much of a chance of winning it as them then you belong in a room with some seriously padded walls.
Yeah Liverpool have had harder games and done well at times, but City & Arsenal have the stronger teams.
A combined Arsenal/City/Liverpool XI would be something like...
Cech
Kolarov
Kompany
Koscielny
Bellerin
Ramsey/Cazorla
Coquelin
Sanchez
Ozil
Silva
Aguero
19th, I hadn't thought about the beating of Chelsea and City and I'm not sure why you're in such high dudgeon about my remarks. Most are beating Chelsea and City aren't consistent but a 1-6 away I would say is a one off. I also said that with Klopp you're heading for the top but I don't think he'll be with you for too long. I'm in peace.
We need 1 goal and then Newcastle confidence will be shattered.
Firmino is not in the game and Benteke is not working hard enough
Newcastle keeper is trying to waste time with his goal kicks. Ref should warn him
Got_better the gift that keeps on giving
Chelsea beaten by Bournemouth.....all the bull we had after nicking a 1-0 seem pretty "cool" eh (thats a jurgenism btw)

At least Chelsea drew with Newcastle

Liverpool win today, and they will still only be in 6th place. Newcastle are due a result, today could be that day.
Sandy spot on the money again. It`s uncanny how I always right.
I said it was unpredictable and that you shouldn't read too much into the midweek match.
A huge deflection and a good goal disallowed from you so I wouldn't be too worried.

Another cracking day for us.
