Well I've not criticised Son or Clinton, as they are new players and still finding their feet in an unfamiliar league, and neither started this match.

Eriksen deserves a bit of a kick up the arris, as he's been here for 2 and a bit seasons, and we know he can be much better than his last few games. It's games like yesterday where we'd look to him to get the winner. Or we did....that's going back a bit now.

Weare,

Poch needs to find a team and stick to it but with resting the players and playing different player in same position , not swapping players positions every week ..

I totally agree.

Our best performance of the season was against West Ham, we then have an okay EL win away, we then draw with Chelsea, and then Lamela just gets put straight back in the side to upset the flow of it.

I know i'm hard on Lamela but the preference he gets is quite frustrating.

"Clinton and son will become good players in this side and remember that Eriksen is still quite a young man himself and hasn't quite found the consistency yet. "

On the basis of what?

plank.

we don't need to wildly celebrate. but we don't need to slate them either. a young team who didnt play well, but have played well most of the season.

still managed a point on a ground that is tough if you don't perform.

on to the next game, rather than throw a tantrum because the almighty spurs couldn't beat west brom at their ground. we have a divine right to win all these games

You can see how a player is very early on and from his performance at previous clubs. It is quite easy to detect, rarely does a player surprise you. It is similar to scouting.

With a player You look at on the ball, you look at off the ball, look at the movement, look at what they are trying to do (does not matter if it does not come off, it matters what they are trying on the pitch) if there a forward and score a goal doesnt mean they have necessarily had a good game.

With us now under Poch it is super easy to see with any players. We play one system and one system only never changing. Thats not a criticism thats a fact. 4-2-3-1 narrow every game. If a players joining that you can have a very good idea if they will fit.

Fazio i was screaming before he played a game he was not right for English football. Low and behold everyone now sees it. You watch the way we play, the way the player plays, you judge if their attributes and style fit. It was known the negatives were he was slow and cumbersome. The positives were that he was very physical in a none physical league. That positive does not outweight that negative. Fazio did not fit it was painfully obvious. I am not saying he is a bad player, in spain, or italy or for argentina he would be a great defender as the game is slower.

N'Jie in my opinion is awful scouting. I am not saying he is not a potentially quality player but i think he does not fit the system like Fazio. Clinton is a wide player, we play narrow. Clinton is very raw, inexperienced and indisciplined with the way he plays. We play disciplined, methodical and more sideways than direct which takes away Clintons biggest attribute his pace. If you take away a players biggest attribute, they have to adapt. Clinton is far too young and inexpereicned to adapt. Do not get me wrong he gives us an option to go more direct but rarely do we use it. Hilarious and unfair watching him play as a centre forward, it was like Poch was saying look we did buy a forward, it was clear N'Jie had never played that position previously. Hopefully he does well but i do not think he fits personally.

On the flip side to that there was never any doubt Toby or Trippier was going to fit the system. Trippier had played a similar footballing style at Burnley and had shown the pressing ability to fit Pochs system. Tobys attirbutes all fit and the help of having Jan there and Lloris behind him made it quite easy to see him slot in.

Good post LLM

Disagree on Trippier though, for me no better than Naughton

Chicken is a miserable sod, isn't he? Must kill the atmosphere on a night out. All I can picture is a very depressed, probably middle aged, man who doesn't have many friends
