i think on the whole Boyata has been pretty good

he switches off at times but most centre halfs do

his turn of pace to catch O'Halloran (whos maybe the fastest player in the league) was impressive yday

Somebody put up an article the other day about how bad Boyata is , right after his performance in europe where i thought he was really steady - possibly his best game in europe
Good to see him continue his good form

Hes handy at scoring also

Was that not his second goal of the season?

lets be honest our defence has improved since Jozo and Boyata started getting a run of games together

I mean the Ajax defeat at CP and last week in Turkey we never really gave many chances away, we got caught trying to win the game v Ajax and last week Gordon made a howler.

Since the Molde debacle we've been good at the back

With Boyata you could always tell there was a decent player in there, he needs to kick on from here but I've a feeling he will.

Lustig is a terrific player but most of us thought the injuries had caught up with him. A fully fit, on form Lustig is a huge asset for us.

I for one plan to put my negativity regarding Ronny on the back burner and look forward to the rest of the season.

Armstrong is a worry now

he now looks low on confidence as well as ability

i worry that him and GMS dont have the mettle to play for Celtic, when players arent performing well a lot can roll their sleeves up and help in other ways

these guys cant

if Armstrong and GMS had the same aggression as Tierney they wouldnt look so poor in games

I've also seen Stevie agree with Curly on a thread in the past week.

Didnt take long I see to forget all about Europe. All of a sudden we're a great team again 😕 Ronny needs to go but if he wins the treble........which is no easy matter......the fans are going to give him another chance.

We need a change now so the next manager has 2 windows to sort us out for Europe. Won't happen though and when we fail to make the Champions League again I won't look forward to saying I told you so. At least we know what Ronny will say, "we'll learn from our mistakes"

we need a run of games where we can get a settled back 4
the chopping and changing at the back has effected Gordon as well he looks a shadow of the player he was last season
If Lustig can keep fit hes a fantastic player but with him that's always the issue

see to be honest i'm beginning to accept the fact Deila isnt the man for the job but we cant sack the man, the treble is what we all want n if he delivers then he stays

deila isn't the man going forward, he doesn't have a plan B

that said, if we sack him we just end up with someone similar.

If he wins a treble he more than deserves another shot.

I agree he's struggling to take us to the next level in Europe but if we were to sack a man who won us 5 trophies in 2 years we would be making a mockery of our club and the football in this country.

Agreed and has to be Lustig, Simo, Boyata & Tierney

Not going to happen mate so get behind the team - nothing wrong with that

Gf I don't think we'll win the treble anyway. We're not good enough to do so. Yes we're better than everyone else but we always mess up the odd game or two.

Ronny has shown he doesn't have it in Europe. Its embarrassing what has happened. He will fail again and we will be back at square one next season.

And more worrying I'd if King across the way does spend some real money then I think we're in big trouble

posted on 14/12/15

I know a lot of us have issues with Ronny but he's not going anywhere so rather than continue to moan about him I'm going to relax and enjoy the forthcoming treble.

I agree with most of your points

some of the European performances under Deila have been a shambles Maribor, 2 x Legia, 2 x Molde, Malmo away

thing is we've played well under him in Europe aswell Inter at home, Fenerbache at home, I thought we played well against ajax at home.

the football is quite tedious aswell at times and he doesnt have a plan b

hes trying to implement a formation that doesnt suit the players available.

Im not worried about Rangers coming back n spending money tbh

The last thing I'm worried about is Rangers, they are still miles behind us.

I posted an article the other week if you didn't see it VB, basically saying I think most of the work may be getting done behind the scenes when I look at how some of the players coming through are doing and how we are managing them at a young age.

Time will tell but it's not unrealistic to say a possible Celtic 11 next year could have the following players in it most weeks:

Tierney
Nesbitt
Henderson
Christie

When was the last time you could say we would have 4 genuine quality young stars in our starting 11?

Previously it's been one maybe two every few years but next year there is every chance the above 4 will be heavily involved.

Calvin Miller is the other one but I think he might get another year in the development squad, still only 17
