Couple of fans in work finally getting round to watching the animated series.

Wifefrombelmonty is out of the country for the next 2 weeks so it looks like I'm committed to starting with clone wars ep1 all over again. Watched 4 tonite.

Solo is a movie that should never have been made.

I liked tfa, really enjoyed rogue one and loved tlj, but why on earth do we need a young Han Solo film? They could have done a completely original story set on some outer rim planet or at least do an obi wan film instead. Just really not looking forward to it at all.

Something tells me, this film is gonna be good.
and i too didn't want a Solo film. well, not without Ford.
But its coming.
And very soon, the Obi-Wan film will be announced.

The only thing that got me interested, was that, Kasdan chose this film to be his swan-song from the Star Wars Franchise... not Ep 8 or Ep 9.
Solo.
So out of respect to him, i give it a chance.
and Ritchie Cunningham is a good director.
who doesn't like Backdraft, or Apollo 13 or Rush to name a few.

Nah I’m actually okay with a different actor playing him, i just don’t think his backstory warrants a movie given the vast universe they have to play around in.

That's where I am with the Solo story. I'm fine with another actor but for me when we first meet Solo he was an under the radar character, someone who sought the shadows rather than the limelight.

He was a smuggler, he would want the lowest profile possible - I don't see how that translates easily into a film.

I'll go in (because obviously I'll go and watch it irrespective!) with an open mind but low expectations.

Its obviously Cash and Grab from Disney isn't it

It will have a mammoth task to be half the movie Rogue One was

Poorly written, directed and just a money making exercise

And that’s both TFA & TLJ

R1 is the opposite however! Was well written, well executed and well directed!

Difference being my 8yr old doesn’t like R1 as much , but loves TFA & TLJ
