I haven't seen Rebels for a while but the idea of time travel is silly. Why couldn't a Jedi time travel back and stop Anakin training as a Jedi for example
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its a world between worlds hidden inside a temple thus not meaning anyone at anytime can go to another place.

At the end of the episode the temple is destroyed anyway.

It’s actually a wonderful episode with lots of nods to the OT.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been introduced though, so the temple being destroyed doesn't really matter. After all the emperor was pretty much able to access the world without the temple. If they want to use it again it's there for them

Off course it matters as it was access point for Jedis and i assume the sith have there own or a sith master can see in when Ezra was looking through the door ways. The sith himself couldn’t actually get in could he only the force lightning.

It isn’t actually the first time something like this is mentioned. Apparently in some books looking at prior to ep1 it’s happened although I’ve not read them.

What i mean is now that the concept is out there, if they want to use it, then the fact that the temple is destroyed won't matter. the writers just create a new doorway.

maybe JJ can use it to fix TLJ

We probably won’t see it again. It was just a way for Ezra to learn a lesson about how to be a Jedi while saving Ashoka for a future show imo

So its only possible to time travel from temple to temple?

If thats the case 50 years from now can someone time travel back to the Ach To temple and change the nonsense that was TLJ?

No the temple was the access point to different places in time.

Ezra was called to certain pathways by the force. One to save Ashoka and another was to do with Kanan.

Ezra then proceeded to demolish the temple so at this point it looks like it’ll never happen again.

Also TLJ is fine

Jon Favreau is supposedly signed up to write and produce some sort of Star Wars live action series.

The Disney Marvel-ization of SW gathers steam

Favreau is an excellent director though Manfrom. He did a great job with Iron man 1, 2 was shiiiiiiit because of interference from above to further the avengers storyline. Jungle book was very well done and Chef was a fantastic wee movie that you should see if you haven’t.

Of all the choices of director they’ve made so far, Favreau is probably the best after Ron Howard.

In your opinion.

Plenty of fans loved it, plenty hated it. It’s a divisive film, just saying it’s fine doesn’t make it true for many fans.

Potential live action series based in the old republic sounds good. Let's hope disney deliver

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I love my SW, I really do. Disney done a great job with Rebels, with RO, with TFA. Obviously to for a lot of us, a swing and a miss with TLJ.

However, having seen a lot of the live action DC and Marvel things on the TV, I worry about what a SW series would be.

Clones and Rebels captured a niche market in us middleaged men with fond memories. I can only see live action tv having to appeal to the key 18-30 demographic, or whatever it is.

I suppose I am still mentally scared by the wife being a Superman fan and me having to sit through 7 turgid, day time soap opera, series of Smallville.

Man

It could go wrong but they could make it work. Time will tell I suppose.

In terms of the movies, what are your thoughts on the upcoming Solo movie and a potential Obi Wan standalone?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only just seen this.

Solo I am not greatly enthralled about. I'll be there day 1 front of the queue ready to watch it. But with the rumours that the previous directors were booted for the movie being too light hearted (lethal weapon in space?) and the tone of the humor in TLJ, I worry. The trailer looked grand up until the very last moment with the "that was close......whooaooaaa watch out" or whatever it was moment. But I'll still be all over it and ready to love or hate.

As with any of the stnad alones, if the story is strong enough and can be linked to the rest of the canon effectively, then I am all for more SW. Give me Jabba aned Boba in Solo and I'll be happy.

Obi Wan, I don;t know much about. When will it be set? We've seen a lot of him in CW, in the originals and prequels. Is it him on Tatoine?

Yeah, I think we are of similar opinion on Solo. I hope its good. I just don;t see it beign geat.

Obi Wan with MacGregor, given the right story, could be great.

I didn't like Logan

Or to be more accurate. I watched it and have absolutely zero recollection of what happened.
