Haven’t watched anything since the second trailer. Tickets for Thursday. Might head out again on Saturday with a larger group.

I have zero expectations that this will manage to salvage the trilogy, but still look forward to seeing what they do

I'll always look forward to going to watch a new SW film, regardless of how shiyte they've been lately. Pretty much why Disney will keep churning them out

Emperor voiceover as rey does some shiiiiit with a lightsaber “it is time, she learn her story” then the emperor cackle.

Disney’s stewardship has been a disaster so far.

Yes TFA made a sht load of money but people were always going to flock to the inaugural film of the new trilogy.

But since then, it’s been absolute bedlam, with directors being fired, mass reshoots, a extraordinary backlash to The Last Jedi, a box office did with Solo and now Episode 9 - which in my view, can’t save the trilogy, nor the franchise.

The very name Star Wars has been lessened, both culturally and cinematically.

If episode 9 reverses TLJ, it loses. If it doesn’t reverse TLJ, it still loses.

Either way, they’re fked.

Well actually TFA was well received by critics and a majority of fans, and was a smash hit financially.

Then out came Rogue one, which yet again, was well received and made a lot of money.

Then TLJ polarised fans and a lot stayed away from Solo as a result, which is a shame as solo was actually a fun film.

And now here we are. I agree the directors coming onto a project and leaving with such regularity is a concern but you can’t rewrite history as after the first 2 films of this Disney stewardship most people were pretty happy with things.

Yeah, enjoyed that one. Nice to see the New Republic feature. Granted the story will be centered on Mando but seeing the fallout from the fall of the empire and ride of the new republic would be great. It feels that part is gonna be gradually fleshed out, whether by subtle nods such as the storm trooper helmets on spikes, or the straight up xwings and orange jump suits.

Probably my fave episode so far, when the lights went down was awesome.

Gotta say BY is a stroke of genius, the stakes are so much higher because I don't want anything to happen to that adorable lil b@stard

Plans for last skywalker?

Got my tickets for Thursday at 6pm. Going again with a bigger group on saturday at 7pm.

Might actually have to skip Thursday though as wifefrom might be stuck at work.

Had tickets booked for Friday night, then remembered I'm getting a bus up to Whistler that night, so got tickets for Monday instead.

Not really expecting too much, but the franchise has enough credit in the bank for me to still be quite excited.

I think I am more looking forward to an actual night our with a couple of mates, crappy movie, off for a few pints and a burger and a b!tch and a moan
